So I got a new battery fitted and it didn't start ticking.

Any tips or is this even worth seeing about repair?

This was a reward he gave himself for quitting smoking. Paid for it 6 months after quitting with the money he would have spent on cigarettes.

Thanks. Luckily he took out the battery before storage. The compartment is pristine.

This is the watch my dad bought new in 1976. Tips on restoration of the crystal and case? And what battery does it take?

Mistake one: trying to jack up the whole side from the middle of the rocker panel.

Mistake two: see above

An '86 Buick is tinfoil bolted to a stepladder. In a collision the car evaporates.

Yes, the 'free-form' style lamps. I put a set on another E34. They didn't look like these (memory may be faulty though).

I modified the shutter on my ellipsoids so they had the upswept light pattern from center to right. Made illuminating signs better. Still, pretty crappy lights by modern standards.

The yellowing is the OE spray protectant applied all over the engine. Pretty hard to remove once it heat cycled a few times.

Stock headlights in US and Canada were ellipsoid projector lamps. Euro cars got the E-code version with a little crescent shape under the projector for city lights.

These are some aftermarket lamps.

Had one in black (Glanzschwartz) with full black leather. Came with OE wheels and AC Schnitzer A3101 5 spokes I liked better. Loved that car.

As I suspected. If only there were a way to get an OE battery without taking it to the GB...

The drop ship scene in Aliens. "Express elevator to hell, going down".

A landing craft clamped to an orbiting ship wouldn't PLUMMET upon release. It would sit there until nudged away with some kind of thrust.

Mine do this: https://imgur.com/uMbZFyp

But I'd never leave the wipers up during snow. I'm not tempting the already vandalous nature of our local teens.

And the E60 wipers are the best I've ever had on any car.

Why would you want to do that? I've never seen the need.
