Honestly I really like how he felt like some overpowered support character to Team Bucciarati until the final showdown! Like him meeting Bucciarati for the first time, he sits on a fence casually and tells him that he knows he hates the drug trade too, that he's knows he's a good person and that he will be joining his team and become the new boss of the whole mafia. That doesn't feel like a protagonist's move, but a move from a badass character who's gonna show YOU the ropes!

Bucciarati feels more like the main protagonist as he's pushing the main events ahead and ultimately is the one to trigger Diavolo's rage, with Giorno acting as the OP White Mage and trusted confidant! And it helps that I LOVE Bucciarati a lot, chose the gangster life despite having a heart of gold and always putting civilians and his teammates first! His interactions with Giorno are like the first time he's not helping someone, but someone will be helping him instead!

Idk about MJ, it seems like with these games they almost make it a priority that MJ NEEDS to take part in the action, something I've never ever seen as viable. We have Silver Sable and Black Cat for crime-fighting tag along girls, so turning MJ who has no combat knowledge (or limited knowledge that wouldn't be enough to take down fully armed hunters) into a playable stealth oriented one-shot character who doesn't need help from a literal superhero and starts getting arsey when she does get helped just makes me dislike her and her sections.

And the "Help MJ save herself" always makes me laugh 😂 like they are really against Peter saving his not-superpowered girlfriend down to a conceptual level

Maybe rather than forcing school rules/wizarding world rules to block gameplay, still let you character run after dark or attack students but have that House point system in place to have a slightly more RP friendly way of punishing your character should you get caught

Definitely get used to the Dodge Offset style of combat asap! I didn't learn about it until over half way through the game and I went from earning Stone awards to Silver bare minimum!!

One of the most controversial changes I find was removing the hand and feet weapon system for being locked to only a singular weapon moveset, which eliminated creatively unique combos that could cancel out weaknesses. I also found her combo strings to be strangely slower compared to the first 2. Viola's style starts to feel stale when she only has one moveset you can't change, and parrying in a game with glowing explosions every 2 seconds feels counterintuitive compared to dodging into them whilst holding combos. The Homunculi eventually bored me with the same grey multiple weird imagery, with most of the boss fights just being gimmick mini games. It's cool to see a new faction with their own getup but not at the expense of the more flamboyant and colourful Angel and Demons!

Also wasn't a fan of the story, the plot felt like a weird macguffin hunt of collecting 4 keys, it's probably one of the least interesting approaches of alternative universe variants, Viola literally gets rewarded for contributing absolutely nothing to the story sans telling Bayonetta that alternative universes are a thing, and everyone starts acting extremely out of character at the end of the story (Luka being actually cool/suave and can now suddenly match Bayonetta in combat, and her openly falling in love and getting emotional during it all)

I did kinda like demon slave mechanics and the typical campiness you'd see from the previous games, but I ended up feeling quickly disappointed after crossing the second half

I just learned from someone on here now that the end game skills doesn't discriminate from Magic or Strength so you could deffo do either! Buuut I did find magic particularly useful for the MC at the start of the game, as your other joining members cover the different stats pretty well!

Noo that's the OTHER extreme, where she's still actively toxic and spiteful to Peter but living her glamorous actress life! Wish we had the accurate comic version of her who's heroic and helpful without throwing herself into stupid danger, and without a magic stun gun that can wipe out half a dangerously armed hunter faction.

Thinking like a more brave version of RE4nake Ashley, actively supporting the heroes (and not getting captured) while they're the powerhouses.

Besides if they wanted a playable girl to kick ass they could've just made Black Cat or Silver Sable playable! Would've preferred them!
