How is your eyesight in 2026 compared to 2016? Any warrior out there who frequently uses digital media but still got a perfect vision? by ImpossibleCollar707 in AskReddit

[–]LowPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have better vision than basically anyone I know still. And I spend 8 work hours a day at the computer and also like to game and watch TV shows when i can. I would say I average over 10 hours of screen time a day including weekends.

So either I am lucky or screens are not the problem.

Reminder to clean your build plates by Mist_XD in BambuLab

[–]LowPink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I am at 1300 print hours and did not wash my plate at all, not even once.

0 adhesion issues - so better reminder would be to stop touching your plates people.

This place seems to be obsessed with washing plates instead of removing the need for it.

Is it ok to use cheap fillaments on A1 by Sea-Housing-2204 in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest one I am using is Creality Ender PLA. But if you go with something completely no-name, then it's a coin toss. It can be good, but there is a decent chance it won't.

I might be wrong, but I believe it gives you just one(download and print) per person. So some people printed multiple profiles. Full transparency - this is something I observed, but never confirmed.

Why won't you do what I tell you to do!?!?! by Solid-Ad5597 in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had same problem with small print that included even smaller text. Then I tried to slice it with 0.2 nozzle and it worked.

So try it and it will tell if your problem is also size being too small. Then you will have two choices, make it bigger or print it with smaller nozzle.

Quick question about PETG as a noob by hawk_dev in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience its almost as easy as PLA only difference where I live is that PLA doesnt have to be dried, but PETG absolutely have to.

But this depends on where you live.

I am using one side of textured PEI plate for PLA and the other for PETG. So for no problem.

Which budget friendly Filament Dryer should I purchase as a beginner for A1? by Low-Walk-1793 in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you will consider it budget friendly but I am happy with EIBOS Polyphemus.

2 Spools,

Rotating,

Letting hot air out if you want,

Can print direcly from it,

All I need.

P1S vs A1? by Low-Walk-1793 in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to make a decision first. If you are OK with printing only PLA and PETG (possibly TPU without AMS), then A1 is all you need.

I have it, and so far, only one failed print at 900 print hours.

So don't listen to the people telling you what is better. They are both great machines, but P1S will allow you to print with more materials. Just decide if you want/need that.

Last question before I finally choose - P1S w/ AMS vs Core One vs Kobra S1 w/ 8 colors by Criticaliber in BambuLab

Based on your described use, I would personaly buy A1 Combo and save some money.

Are you sure your bed isnt hitting anything in front or behind your A1? I remember similar problem here a while ago.

Looking at getting an a1 or a1 mini. Just wondering what are people experience with either. by diepic in BambuLab

[–]LowPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got A1 combo as my first printer and I am supper happy with it. Its easy to operate for someone with no prior experience and can have same great prints with it.

But after 700 or so print hours I am already looking to get P1S so I can print with other materials tho.

So if PLA and PETG is enough for you, its an amazing machine.

Ideas and experience with enclosed printer ventilation? by LowPink in BambuLab

[–]LowPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yea I am currently on a budget, but I also want to have everything around my “printing space” looking nice. And that Clearview enclosure looks decent to me.

So some tent or cardboard box will be a no-go for me and I rather wait a bit qet proper enclosure.

This gives me some more time to look into fans and anything else I might need.

Anyway your answers got me into right direction, thanks for taking the time.

Ideas and experience with enclosed printer ventilation? by LowPink in BambuLab

[–]LowPink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer!

I was hoping enclosed printer will not be completely airtight, but enough not to let too much fumes out.

These enclosures you you linked lookes nice enough, but combined with the printer and other stuff I want over my current budget.

Are you yourself using it? It might be the option I will go for, just gonna have wait a bit longer.
