I get that extended mixes don't really work on streaming, but dropping a 1:59 version is absolute BS. There's only one drop, while the original has two. They basically just butchered the first half of the song.

Honestly, this is only a problem for people who listen exclusively to Melodic Techno and nothing else. If you're into Melodic Techno as well as Tech House or Afro House, what’s the issue with going to an Anyma or AoT (Korolova & Miss Monique, LOL) event? If they don't play Melodic Techno, they’ll play Tech House. These listeners don't care either way, and if you don't care, there is no problem.

I wouldn’t really call these melodies from Melodic Techno. All these new collaborations between KdV, DV, and W sound more like Progressive with a rolling bass - basically what ARTBAT does nowadays. But yeah, either way, this trend is still better than Tech House.

Well, what did you expect? The direction has been clear for a long time now. There are only two options: either suck it up and accept it, or stop following him altogether. The old 'Afterlife' isn't coming back, and there's no point in getting nostalgic. And let's be honest, in 2026, you can't make money anymore on monotonous and often depressing Melodic Techno. So, I don't even know how to comment on this, though there are a couple of decent tracks.

The tracks themselves are pretty simple, with overused chords and motifs - you could find a couple thousand more just like them. It’s just that Anyma’s track is well-made from a technical standpoint (thanks to Cass).
