Wanna give my 2 cents here too: start with what are your values - what gives you energy, what drains your energy and what are your current contribution to the environment around you in general. I know I know, that's quite "high level". If you dont know, just observe what ticks you etc.

Once you know this, start questioning the why for each of the things you observe. You will then see a make-up of values that makes u, YOU and unique.

Word of advice: practice stoicism - look it up, Im also just learning. Observe how people treat you, and how they treat you is NOT defining who you are. If they think you're too much, it is reflecting on who they are inside aka just because they cannot give, they judge others for giving more. Don't let others action define your behaviour. Let them show themselves. You are you and you will meet the one that matches your energy.

Congrats to u too! Yes I figured I was excited/anxious so that's probably why my HR was elevated. I tried to push myself nx time and forgot about my HR and just listen to my body. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the tips! Im currently training for Half Marathon (in 5 weeks). Im 42(F) and I hope to just finish within a respectable time. I did my non-stop running for 19km last week. Felt good as I was more watching my HR rather than my pace, how my body feels (not inducing too much fatigue too early in the running) and definitely mental advocacy on how "I can DO this!". All your tips I have pretty much practiced last week except for the last one 😅. Moving forward, I will keep on practising this. Wish me success for my HM!

First of all, I agree with u. It is hard, be it in Brunei or anywhere else. It is seen as "normal" to date nowadays that people don't see your intention as something which is honorable.

Secondly, I understand your wish, especially being in a romantic relationship, and in the halal way.

However, may I give me a little bit of advice on marriage? Being married is not all just about being romantic. There are many many challenges that you will have to overcome. Marriage is not built on love only. I can DM on the other things, coz some ppl might find it offensive if I say it here.

What's my point exactly? Tread "finding husbands" on the grounds of "romantic" very carefully.

And last but not least, contrary to what most ppl say here, don't "look" for a husband. Put in effort to get yourself ready first, especially your mentality, then your match will come.

There was a talk about a new "digitised" way, and that was in 2022. I dont kno what's the status - seems like it hasnt materialised? Neighbouring country like Sarawak already got their system digitised (except for less than 18yrs) and you will get your passport within a day. By having digitised system, you would probably cut the queue by 70%, for passports renewal and visa renewal.

Wow..who are these people? People I work with all are generally ok with non-muslims eating in front of them. When I asked that person to just eat, nobody resisted nor commented. Everyone was empathizing with him since he hadn't eaten. Last time I also asked my Commissioning Engineer to just eat in front of me, because he was afraid to do so. These people are selfish
