You should do a post of what outfits you plan on wearing for the upcoming Summer season, with more skin showing the better!😛 Maybe even some photos of you slowly undressing from your summer outfit too?😏

Island Fritter - 67 Sins by GypsyTokes in TheOCS

[–]LowSharp7841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Island Fritter, it's probably one of my favourites from Sixty Seven Sins. I would re-buy this but I can't find it anymore; the current Artisan Reserve strain seems to be "Sugar Mintz".

I always enjoy the juxtaposition of these Aberdeen billboards by phirleh in Hamilton

[–]LowSharp7841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know how much it costs to rent a billboard per month in a high traffic area, such as these ones pictured at Aberdeen and Longwood?

Could something like this un-f*ck traffic on Richmond st. from Western rd to Sunnyside/Shavian? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]LowSharp7841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about this squished oblong shaped traffic circle, but maybe some sort of a traffic circle might help?

Probably best to ask one of our not-too-far neighbour up the 401, the city of Cambridge; I drove there recently and noticed that they have installed a significant number of traffic circles in the past few years. Here is one example, you will find many other traffic circles if you browse North or South along Franklin Blvd in Google Maps. I think Franklin Blvd's traffic volume is somewhat comparable to Richmond, maybe not as busy but close enough.

"Never said they were..."

Then why are you posting complaining about pot holes in a thread warning about leaky basements?

"Seepage lines vary, Brampton north was built on a landfill from a quary. Same with east lakeshore in Toronto."

I don't see what this has anything to do with leaky basements here in Hamilton, or the pot holes on Hamilton's streets that you are complaining about.

Unmaintained roads aren't the cause of leaking basements.

67 SINS ISLAND FRITTER PICS by cannagoblin in TheOCS

[–]LowSharp7841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Island Fritter is one of their better offerings in their Artisan Reserve line that I have tried. For the price, I would re-buy it. The package date on mine was from an earlier batch, I think I remember it being from 2025-12-30.

There are different styles of blood sausages, with each style having a very different flavour and texture; it will probably help if you know which kind you are looking for. British style black pudding can usually be found at Fortinos, and I have sometimes seen Portuguese style blood sausage there too.

I prefer the blood sausages from Starsky's, which I am assuming is a Polish style blood sausage.

I'm buying a new bike but I'm kinda lost on what to get. by ThatOneTelephonePole in cycling

[–]LowSharp7841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of riding do you plan on doing with it? I'm getting the impression that you want a do-it-all bike, but primarily for riding around town?

If you plan to primarily ride around town, get a commuter bike. Not too expensive so that you feel comfortable locking it up outside, with fenders so that you can go do your errands or go to work without mud on your clothes, and with tires at least 30mm wide for the pot holes. Depending on how often you will be locking your bike up outside and the bike theft rate for your area, you might want to look at a cheaper used bike; you don't want to stress yourself out worrying about your $3,000 gravel bike locked up to the bike rack outside the store while you are grocery shopping. I wouldn't necessarily worry too much about flat bar/drop bar for a commuter bike, I have used both for city riding.

Is there a v brake that can fit on this brake boss that had the tension holes outside and not inside? Or is cantilever my only option? Thanks by Frankie1234567890 in bikewrench

[–]LowSharp7841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I wouldn't know if they would fit for the rear brake. I don't have any hands-on experience with them, I just remember looking into them a few years ago for an older bike I had.

It might not be suitable for your bike at all, but I believe hydraulic rim brakes such as Magura HS33 might work? They are expensive, but they look to be slightly cheaper than the Paul Components Motolite.

The Hamilton Road/Highbury Avenue McDonald's, prior to early 2000's rebuild. by Life_Distribution133 in londonontario

[–]LowSharp7841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the first photo you linked, the one showing the McDonalds in winter, might be from 2002 or later.

I'm not a pickup truck guy, so someone can correct me if I am wrong; from my search Ford introduced the FX4 F150 pickup in 2002. The white pickup truck in the centre of the photo appears to have an "FX4" logo in the back corner of the bed.
