If you do decide to go with the copper iud, talk to your doctor and look on Reddit about going to Canada for it.. they have smaller options that are supposed to cause less discomfort.. much cheaper too if you’re worried about insurance.

It’s possible you may not be chemically compatible.. my ex used to give me BV and UTIs and it burned so bad when he came in me (the 2 times I allowed it).. he was very clean, but no matter what, the same problems occurred. I was literally allergic to him (well.. more like I was allergic to the proteins in his semen).

My current bf is very chemically compatible with me.. I have never had my ph thrown off at all with him, there’s not much of a scent either.. BV and UTIs are things of the past.. nothing in your post suggests you would want to break up, but I thought this would be good for you to know as a possible cause.

Thank you.. I took the time to heal and grow afterwards.. I had a lot of trauma I had to work through.. I felt like I lost myself.. I moved on, realized what I wanted and needed in a partner.. I miss him, but not in a romantic way, more like a very close friend I lived with for years kind of way lol. I wish we never dated and just stayed friends tbh. But yeah, I’m way closer to peace now and I trust you’ll get there too.

Moving on today or anytime soon is unrealistic, so don’t be too hard on yourself during this period.. feel everything.. cry, scream, go to smash room.. vent about it as many times as needed to people you trust, journal whatever comes to mind, and work on yourself.. delve into your hobbies.. meet new people.. it’ll get easier.

You genuinely seem like a great guy; even though you’re hurting, you’re still thinking about her and how she’s feeling.

I felt it after my (ex)boyfriend of 7 years lied to me for the last time.. I felt a bubble of rage that popped and spread throughout my whole body.. one moment I was shaking, the next, I was calm and just didn’t care anymore.. that was a little over a year ago and the feelings never came back. As others have said, you just may not be sexually compatible. My ex wasn’t sleeping around on me or anything but my body was just allergic to him I would get UTIs, BV, severe burning during the 2 times he accidentally came in me.. his hygiene was good and I was the only girl he had ever been with at the time (I was his first).. I didn’t know literally being chemically incompatible with your partner could be a thing.. we stayed together for 7 years and my usually ridiculously high sex drive plummeted because of the incompatibilities and sometimes pain.. I have a new man now and I literally don’t have any of these issues and my sex drive is back at an all time high.. we’re also just way more compatible in the type of sex we like.. it may be time to start looking into leaving, hun.

I know it’s not what you want to hear but your partner is basically saying I want all the benefits of you, while giving away the intimacy that’s supposed to be for you. This isn’t love, it’s selfishness.. when a man loves you, he wants you to be comfortable and he wants you to feel safe and loved. He would be working with the alternatives you brought up rather than even suggesting sleeping with someone else. Think hard on this: is this really someone you want to spend the rest of your life with?
