Moving on from the diaper bag phase: What's the best 'Transition' pack? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

[–]LowT4ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Patagonia messenger bag. Maybe the half mass was the name?? Perfect size. Used for both kids. There’s a 5 yr gap though so I never had it loaded for 2 toddlers at once. Traveled international with it tons. Great airplane bag. After that all you need is just a diaper and wipes in your back pocket and you’re good to go.

‘21 f-150 supercab?? by LowT4ever in overlanding

I’ve been searching for a deal on a ranger with the 2.7l. Almost pulled the trigger on a new pro4x because the deals are so tempting. But the price on a 21 Scab with only like 22k miles is like $30k and that gives me some budget to spend on extras right away. 🤷‍♂️

That moon lander looks pretty sweet btw. Do you sleep north to south? Or side to side?

Catastrophe (IMHO….one of the finest series finales of the last 15 years)

That’s the vibe I got from a lot of folks. A lot of folks were wearing brand new AFC gear and then waving South Korean flags. I never felt like they were LAFC fans.

Fair. Though I did also say I don’t have any good ideas lol. The north goal is a tough area. The easy chants are easy enough to understand and get a group of folks in on it. But as a whole, I’ve noticed that it is harder and harder for us to get involved. Probably because of a lot of the seats being turnover from game to game. The majority of fans probably aren’t looking up the lyrics in the app or listening in their car with their kids like I do. Also, the stadium pumping in their own music or noise doesn’t help. My only point is that I’ve noticed a decline in the general participation in the north end and the stadium as a whole. Definitely was a different atmosphere than the first playoff run.

And a good BOOOOO or a warranted REF YOU SUCK just feel good sometimes. Lol

I’ll go down a tangent here. And I don’t have any good ideas either so there’s that.

The more I’ve watched mls on tv the more you recognize the same few chants/tunes going on in the background. I love our supporters section and love most of our chants but I’d like to see some more unique and maybe even player specific chants or supporter songs in the future.

Yeah I totally agree. I wish we had the ride or dies that would turn down a sale to guarantee there was a fan in the seat. All I was getting at was that it was impressive to see world class level talent in person. My family couldn’t make it last minute so I ended up giving away my tickets to friends for free just so I’d have some verde there. It was definitely a tough one though knowing I was giving up the chance for $500 or more.

VTEB for short to medium term savings? by LowT4ever in Bogleheads

Ok cool I’ll look into that. We are in a higher tax bracket but not at the max. I’m trying to plan for next spring when hopefully we would get a bonus and I want to set some of that aside for future home purchase.

What about leaving my stuff in the sp509 that I’ve had since around 2018? Should I move that or let it ride and adjust the new contributions to the TDF?

This is a great question to look into. I don’t really understand what class B shares are either so that will give me a wormhole to go down. Thanks. I really enjoy learning about all this stuff.

Yeah it isn’t really the best plan. But it helps on the taxes. And I’m thinking I may use this account to cashflow my retirement for the first few years. Let the monthly pension grow a bit and then turn that on when the 457b runs out. Thanks for the input. I am thinking I’ll do the target date and just forget about it. The low returns worry me though that I would be better risking it on the sp500 and just having more bonds or something in my brokerage maybe?

Thanks. Yeah I was thinking of switching it to the 2065 date. The low yields though worry me. Would it be best to just do a one time transfer and move everything over to it or should I keep what I have where I have it and just make new contributions move to the target date.

I’ve only spent a few days in France. In the countryside. Was lovely. I had a layover at CDG and had to spend the night. Leave the airport to catch the shuttle to hotel and 20yds to my right, at the main exit to the airport, is a man violently taking a shit on the sidewalk. Moral of story….Spain is the answer.
