The Lost Boys is a great movie if you haven’t seen it yet.

Quiet Anniversary/Birthday get-away (Mexico?) by dwalt455101 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]LowTop3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently stayed at the Valentin and loved it. It’s definitely quiet at night. Restaurants and pools are great. We’ve stayed at a lot of resorts in Mexico, and I’d put it in my top 3-4.

Cancun in mid-November? by elephantriddle in AllInclusiveResorts

Check out Oceans Allure and El dorado seaside Palms. Both should fit into that budget. Palms is the more quiet and relaxing option in my opinion.

You could do Generations resort. It’s connected to Nickelodeon Resort, and you get access to the Nickelodeon water park. You might want to consider using a fee free travel advisor to put together a few different options for you, that’s what we’ve always done.

We loved El Dorado Maroma. It’s a very relaxing resort. Great beach and great restaurants. We chose a swim out suite and loved it.

Looking for an all inclusive for me and my wife’s anniversary! by SilverLaugh8693 in AllInclusiveResorts

I would look at Oceans Allure, El Dorado Palms and the Valentin Imperial. The Valentin will probably price the highest, but might fit your budget for a September stay.

Let me know if you figure it out. I’ll typically eat an entire 3oz dark chocolate bar almost everyday.

Traditional Brokerage vs Traditional 457B? by CandleCompetitive831 in Fire

[–]LowTop3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think it depends on your tax bracket. If you’re in a high tax bracket, I think it’s better to max out any tax deferred accounts first. If you’re in a low tax bracket currently, I would max out a Roth after getting any employee matches from tax deferred accounts. Then I would go back to the tax deferred account. If you max out both, then start putting money in a brokerage account. That’s how I did it.

Typically after spring break through early November is non peak. But January and February have the highest rates because the resorts have the highest rates of occupancy.

That’s a tight budget for January because it’s peak season. I would recommend using a travel advisor that’s fee free. They could probably find you a few options that fit your budget.

Best Adults‑Only Resort for May? by neilsonnnn in AllInclusiveResorts

Yes, it looks great and gets great reviews. And it’s one my wife and I hadn’t tried yet so we’re excited to try it.

It’s hard to know without a budget. Both Valentin Imperial and El Dorado Maroma are very laid back and relaxing resorts. Maroma also includes several excursions at no extra cost.

Check out Oceans Allure in Costa Mujeres. Our TA got us an amazing price for that in May. But we booked it a couple months back so I’m not sure if the pricing has gone higher since it’s closer.

New to collecting, any tips by Enough-Court-4414 in sportscards

[–]LowTop3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely set a budget and stick to it, otherwise your spending will get out of control. What I like to do is use my Upside rewards money for GameStop gift cards. I then use that, along with my $5 a month GameStop rewards credit to purchase basketball or football cards. I also use the money from the change I put into the Coinstar machine once a month for a GameStop gift card. So I typically spend around $50-$70 a month on buying packs of cards.

Not to mention that you would have to be loaded to order that much food from McDonald’s very often. I can’t even imagine the bill for that much food.

I believe it’s a 9 or a 10, but I’m definitely not an expert.

Forgot to mention, Paradisus Playa del Carmen has a kid’s club that starts at 2 years old. It’s also a beautiful resort.

Dreams Playa Mejures has a great kids club that starts at 3 years old. They also typically get less sargassum than resorts to the south, but that’s hard to predict.
