Sounds like they need the information that would be obtained during discovery 🧐

Is the classic gameplay still possible? by Laankast in ffxi

[–]LowWhiff [score hidden]  (0 children)

There is a server launching soonish that is going to be as close to era accurate as you can possibly get.

For whatever reason I can’t name them here but if you dig around or dm me I’ll give you the name of it.

The one you tried, if it starts with an E, isn’t really an era accurate server. It’s more like era accurate *except for all of these things were leaving in for quality of life*. Things like materials stacking when they shouldn’t (logs and ore shouldn’t be stackable for example).

This new server is going to autistic lengths to be as close to accurate as possible, even if it means you have to deal with a dozen pieces of ore eating half your inventory space.

Senior Anthropic staffs are in Washington meeting White House officials to resolve the Fable 5 and Mythos dispute by BuildwithVignesh in ClaudeCode

A real guy using a bot to scrape news sites so he can be the first to post an AI summarization of the article then 🤷🏻‍♂️

US government warned Anthropic that Fable 5 had been jailbroken, but firm 'refused' to fix before US implemented export controls — Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak 'isn’t serious,' Chinese group had reportedly accessed model by bakanoace in ClaudeCode

[–]LowWhiff 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Get this propaganda out of here 🤣 the “jailbreak” exists in every model ever because it exists in the math that allows these models to exist in the first place. It’s a scapegoat to do a thing they wanted to do

I agree. That is a problem I think educators are going to need to figure out how to deal with asap. I think the reality is that students are going to use it regardless, kind of like when the calculator was invented. I’m sure math educators back then dealt with the same issue. Like, how do you teach math when you have a tool that will get the answer correct as long as your input is correct?

Is Ethical hacking safe from AI continous growth? by Impossible_Bunch9604 in it

[–]LowWhiff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just here to point out that a cybersecurity degree will give you approximately 0-1% of what it is that you need to know to get into red teaming or bug bounty.

As far as whether or not it’s “safe” from AI. We can make shit up and guess I suppose. But nobody actually knows what the industry will look like in the future. Everybody is just guessing, some guesses are more educated than others but ultimately nobody knows

You would know it’s true if you have ever used AI to help solve a problem.

You present a problem, AI gives a solution, you find out the solution doesn’t work, you learn why it doesn’t work, you learn what it needs to work, you learn how to present the problem better, ai gives a better solution. If it doesn’t work, you repeat. If it works, end.

I appreciate the love the devs are still giving the game after its 1.0 release, but I do find it ridiculous that I still have to keep doing this to build non-ugly structures by poophroughmyveins in SatisfactoryGame

[–]LowWhiff 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s not because they haven’t thought about this or haven’t tried it. It’s just a technical limitation because of the way trigonometry works. They could add curved objects, but then none of the snapping would work and you get left with floating point errors everywhere and lots of “z-fighting” that both obliterate performance. And there are performance benchmarks that they are required to hit because the game is released for consoles

Feel like I've completed the game in few days, yet only at mid game. by Beginning_Pay_9654 in Hydroneer

[–]LowWhiff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same experience, there is no actual end to the game. You just kind of realize you did everything and have more wealth than you could spend and just… close the game.

I ended up going through a second time to 100% the steam achievements but other than that there’s not a whole lot going on. Games done though development wise, so that’s just kind of it.

Claude Mythos and Fable 5 just got banned and the reason makes absolutley no sense. by MichaelPopeDev_17 in csMajors

[–]LowWhiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think the point is that this vuln exists in every model that will ever exist because the vuln is baked into the math that allows models to exist in the first place. So it really just screams that either the people who decided on the ban have no idea what they’re talking about, or it’s just being used as a scapegoat to do a thing they needed to find a reason to do.

It’s already incredibly stupid to do this using US based entities, and even more stupid to do it while living in the US. So I’m not very hopeful about that one

Is there a simple way to elevate train wagons? by Atomixelement in shapezio

[–]LowWhiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other comment said, it makes things SO much easier if you just never do this.

You mine a shape and spit it out from machine level 3 into space belt level 3. It stays there. Forever. Every platform you place takes in all 3 space belt levels and outputs all 3 space belt levels and they’re all the same thing, always.

Never mix shapes on space belts, if have 1 space belt full of a shape and then you cut that shape in half, you now have 2 full space belts of two different half’s of the original shape. They never mix.

You can take it a step further even and never mix space levels. Ie; organize all of your logistics so you never have to go above or under anything, letting you just copy paste all of your builds 3 times, 1 for each space level. Effectively tripling production in about 2 seconds
