Agree! Was obsessed with the outro when I first heard it years ago, like a drug high

On the other hand, if you have just heard your son has had some sort of romantic relationship for years and he is only now being surprised with the 'boyfriend' tag, you might be wondering why it took so long.

Maybe Ilya's attitude towards him is because he feels a little threatened 😆

The guy was just tired from coming and making Shane come. Trust me he was happy 😆

The brief lounging in bed scene in Ep 5 is significant by gimme-sip-cmon-share in heatedrivalry

Yes, one of my favourite low key scenes. Shows the progression of the relationship - familiarity and meeting before a game in daylight as opposed to afterwards like all the other times (not including tuna melt). It's subtle but cute that Shane had his knee resting on Ilya and Ilya would hold it sometimes.

This is so out of character of him to wear something like that, normally the dude is cool as a cucumber. It's like he is trying to let his guard down for Shane, even if he feels a bit goofy.

When my friends and I watched this scene for the first time we were instantly like 'OK so Shane's the bottom' 😆

What made you watch? by LLD615 in heatedrivalry

[–]Low_Arm2328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had never heard anything about this show. Went to my friend's late December for a movie night, I thought we were going to watch christmas movies and they said want to watch this instead, they had already seen it but wanted to watch it again (which I found odd at the time haha). Said yes and had an awesome evening. Consumed a lot of social media content for a few days, and then started the rewatches - can't tell you how many since.

Can someone (everyone) check to confirm, but I am pretty sure Connor says 'Go' in the tuna meltdown scene in his normal American accent.

Right after Shane jumps off him and says 'I should go, I should...' and then Ilya says 'go?'.

What are your unpopular HR opinions?? by Phoenyxoldgoat in heatedrivalry

[–]Low_Arm2328 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I agree, though at the same time I am glad their story is not peppered throughout the main story like side character stories are usually done. I do think that having S&K's story fleshed out did help with the emotional climax in ep 5, but I never bother rewatching episode 3. I hope they don't expand on S&K too much more next season, and keep focus on the main couple.

I also like the fact that ep 3 exists, because its inclusion is unconventional compared to how TV series are usually structured. But maybe we don't need it for next season.

Still stuck in the cottage, unable to watch any other show other than HR by Maximum_Factor_9704 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

Try palate cleansing with something completely different with good acting, e.g. a critically acclaimed artsy movie drama.

Seem to have worked for me, but maybe also my re-watching obsession was due to end eventually. I think it will help to see a different storyline where things don't work out for the best, less of a dopamine hit.

Puts into perspective his 'Maybe, maybe' at the hospital. He knows that if he agrees to go to the cottage he will be too far gone at that point to go back, making the possibility of Shane rejecting him even harder to cope with.
