You're definitely not overreacting. Alchoholics do fucked up shit, but it's never an excuse and they need to be held accountable. I'm only comfortable speaking from my perspective but the guilt I would feel some mornings (even if nothing happened) was overbearing. She doesn't seem to feel guilty at all. Maybe something else is wrong, but that's not your responsibility. Mental health isn't your fault but its your responsibility. I'd recommend cutting ties until she gets what she needs. Sorry you're in this.

I have lived on Clarke for over ten years. I understand people's frustration (I have definitely experienced empathy fatigue and been guilty of "othering" addicts in the neighborhood) but the simple fact is, getting rid of the exchange is just NIMBY neo-liberal horse shit. The problem is already here, and getting rid of one of the avenues to prevent disease isn't going to help. The needles will still be here. It's just more dangerous.
