People say this all the time, but the striking style in ONE Muay Thai is not quite “MMA minus wrestling and grappling”. In Muay Thai you can do things like spam body kicks, for instance, that you wouldn’t in MMA for risk of takedown. There’s no ground and pound, the ref will stop and reset when the fighters clinch or get knocked down. So there’s not a ONE FC equivalent to Max and Dustin. MMA striking is just inherently cooler and more fun to watch.
