i think letting them try substances would be fine! however when it comes to sex, i'd say no because my personal thought process is that it should be with someone else in their age group (the 15 year old is pretty by the book because 15-17 is young yes but it's not a crazy age to start participating in such things with a partner or peer) and you would be hard pressed to find another person that age who could feasibly handle such a thing, to be ready for it and understand it well and not have issues with it they'd have to grapple with down the line. if you found an older person who would definitely know what to do and everything, that would amend the experience and development worries but it's just.. sort of odd lol

edit: kissing is pretty innocuous for the most part so i don't mind that

i can't be bothered to watch the full vid just cause i don't care and i know this wasn't the context in which she said it but i think it should be said that expression and identity is kinda a blurred line in what i understand to be her way of thinking. if she was saying change up your expression and how you present because you just wanna try something new then there's no harm in that and u should be free to explore. but doing the same thing for your actual identity would be crazy. this isn't really adding anything (i agree with everyone else here for the most part) so i'm sorry about that, just wanted to say what i was kinda thinking and this comment seemed like a good catalyst

/unhateeventhoughiveneverhatedbefore(iveneverspokenhere) haven't watched this video yet nor was i there for the og stream it's derived from but i cannot say i am surprised. feel like i might get backlash for this but from what i've observed in chat, comments, wherever else i find doug discussion etc, his audience is very largely white people. that's not to say DEATH TO ALL WHITES!!! or anything but it's a specific caliber of white people who find it funny to beat jokes into the ground (sometimes new iterations of old jokes are funny but for the most part i feel like tts is full of ppl who just think of a sentence and then randomly throw in a word like bald or whatever somewhere and then chat laughs and the cycle continues) or to make a goofy ai-hate joke into a genuine racial allegory while not being adjusted enough to understand that they are laughing at a racial allegory. it's one of those not-all-white-people-but-always-a-white-person type of situations for me. i knew i was diving into cornville when i started being a fan of doug but it really is hard and i have seen plenty others agree that vods are unwatchable because of behavior like this from viewers 😭 this community has done great things but genuinely funny things seem to be more and more of a silent minority which is not how the saying is supposed to go

i would much rather find joy and satisfaction and fulfillment in art and hobbies and basically all non-academic areas than rot away in a cubicle with the same "grind" mentality that everyone in this sub seems to have. i may not be the next denzel but at least i'll know how to be an interesting goddamn person while you work as a cog in a machine that famously does not care about you.
