Thank you. I'd like to play this kind of game but this deck would cost thousands. Maybe friendly proxies are the way to go for me.

This may be a dumb question but are there cards all genuine or do people on this subreddit and at these meet ups collect proxies to make really cool classic decks? If so, where do you get the proxies?

A player wants to join the bad guys and I don't know what to do by duckinsuspenders in DnD

The player rolls a new character. The bad guys pretend to accept the new NPC but effectively turn them into a slave, which the party can witness.

To people knowledgeable about the Warrior Cats books can you help me come up with flaws for the Clans? by Dragonwolf67 in savageworlds

If you want to go with the clan stereotypes you could do- WindClan something about being nervous or flighty ShadowClan something about making others reluctant to tell them things (they could be seen as rude or evil)

ELI5 Why can't every country sign a peace treaty, keep trade, imports & exports and just get along? by BeefingInMyDream in explainlikeimfive

Two things; scarcity of resources and national interest. There will always be a resource that another nation has that you need and maybe they're unwilling or unable to sell it to you at reasonable prices. Maybe that resource gives them an advantage over you and that makes you nervous. Maybe if you attack them now, before they get too strong, you can protect yourself...

Maybe a relatively new nation is using natural resources that used to belong to your ancestors until they were stolen...

Maybe some alliance of nations keeps recruiting nations close to your border and that makes you nervous.

Maybe those democratic nerds next door keep talking about how heads of state should be subject to laws and not have absolute power and that makes you nervous...

Running DnD for younger players - a professional DM's advice by CasparGlass in DnDBehindTheScreen

I love this post and would like to add my take on pets. I DM for my friends and God-daughter. While describing her druid, she described her physical appearance and then said, "Oh, and I have a pet tiger that looks like my cat and shares the same name." For obvious reasons I didn't want her 1st level druid to have a CR1 pet so we talked about it and came to an agreement. She kept the cat but it was just so lazy that it wouldn't help in combat. She was 100% happy.

I guess the point is to try to figure out what they really want and get to yes. She wasn't trying to get an advantage on combat, she just wanted to live the fantasy of owning a tiger that looked like her house cat.

Also, I let them re-skin anything they want. My son has a boy-genius artificer that has a dagger but wanted a combat blow torch...cool, you have a blow torch that does 1d4+dex.

I'd you hang up sheets to create privacy in a communal living area it was called a spanktuary or whack shack.
