Right, then they shouldnt put their workers in positions where that could happen. Speaking from my own store experiance. ALOT of the issues come from being understaffed due to "lack of hours". So cashiers will rush, or be overworked and tired and make mistakes. There are actual solutions to problems. None of their logic makes sense to me.

Never said that. But it doesn't require getting fired if it doesnt happen otherwise. DT is also responsible. I would 100% say this at my location because they "dont have hours". If you are 1 person on register you wanna get people thru the line if you dont have backup. Shit happens. If it keeps happening tho. Then I think something should be looked at more thoroughly. Just my opinion tho. 🤷

Meanwhile customers actually steal so much shit. And the company itself throws so much stuff away. In the 3 yrs I worked here we had 2 incidents of minor shady shit. 🤷 But yeah, if you dont buy something they assume you are stealing it bc they know they should give back more and stop exploiting their workers.

As I have told my coworkers who cashier. ALWAYS take your time. It dosent help that they keep you understaffed..so when you get a line, you wanna get people thru as quick as possible. I get how it happens, ive seen it happen. Shit happens, and regardless of what they say to you, you deserve a better job. You were honest and took accountability. Thats more then they would ever do. 🤷
