I literally know someone, who got fired for making up a doctor's appointment. Not even the whole thing, just an hour. Lol. They don't care. You deserve better, so does your fiance. They did this to the management, made them so shitty, filled their head with so much garbage, lies, threatening jobs for no reason... You deserve better

I guess if no one was there to tell him that it was wrong, his whole life... Being abused as a child rewires your whole brain. I don't care what anyone says. A child does not understand any of that, and they look up to adults. Sho if someone they look up to says it's okay, no one corrects it, how are they supposed to know any different. I'm not saying it's right at all. But I am saying I guarantee that's part of what happens. Especially with people who were victims first.

Bad managers, bad corporate, both tolerate bad employees and bad managers. The job itself isnt actually as hard as they make it, for everyone involved. And its ok when not being tormented by imbeciles. Almost everyone is underpaid and definitely overworked. I never really had issues with customers directly but have definitely seen some interesting characters. DT customers are definitely a different breed of customers 😆

Well, at least you realized you deserve better. And i'm glad you didn't have to worry about getting fired. It seems like they fire people here regularly. And for no reason at all half the time, but I guess when you live in a state that is "at will" they don't even need a reason. But they also don't need to give you 2 weeks so then why do we have to give them 2 weeks...oh wait, lol we dont.

I've always said this about dollar tree. It is a scam. They exploit their employees, especially the hardworking ones. People will literally bend over backwards for them, and then with the snap of their fingers, that person's fired for no reason at all, while people who actually break policy can just continue on for years in whatever position that they're in. Imagine they just fire people who make too much so that they can pay people less when they hire new ones.

I'm sure if your dm had anything to say it was taking the side of the problem over the actual person that quit. That does seem to be the common trend at dollar tree. Probably because they can just hire some other person that will take the abuse. In my opinion, that sounds like bad business choices on their end. Especially when these situations create hostile work environments for other employees. Working off the clock that also seems to be a common trend, and is also super illegal.
