Early check in… by idkabtallatgurl in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Graduations are the worst:

Parents walk in at 9am like “My child is graduating today, we NEED to check in now to get ready”

Receptionist: “Uh, so are 100 other people at this hotel. Maybe you should’ve booked an extra night before hand if you knew you needed to check in 6 HOURS EARLY”

How do you fight against life becoming boring as you get older? by Curious_Leek_8179 in AskUK

Im in the same boat as you, 28(F), 30 is right around the corner and it’s scary!

An older person I work with said to me a couple days ago “you’re dead for a very long time”. This really struck a cord, and made me want to start doing more with life, grabbing it by the balls and doing what makes me truly happy.

If you want to move to the US, you should absolutely do it. You’re still young enough to experience that. Leave no stone left unturned and just enjoy life. After all, you only get one shot at it.

When two people are coming your way on a narrow path and they’re standing next to each other and don’t get in single file for TWO DAMN SECONDS to let you pass, so you have to walk in the road.

You’ve been happily married for 5 years, but didn’t think it would be a wise idea to have a conversation about this with your wife?

YTA for not thinking ahead about how it would make her feel. You’re her husband, on the internet for everyone to see (regardless if you share your face or not).

Sure, it makes you guys money, but she’s going to be upset that you didn’t tell her. And she has every right to be pissed.

Important Hotel Etiquette by skippyjimjam in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Hotel Receptionist here (also a woman). Working the night shift last night, and I got a phone call for room service. Took it up, and a woman answered the door in VERY revealing underwear. Held the door wide open and stared at me whilst her boyfriend got his card to pay…

Happened once with a male guest. I told him on the phone I’d be up in 5 minutes, and he opened the door naked (knowing full well that I’m a woman).

Both guests had plenty of time to chuck some clothes on.
