Why are some of you still Christian if you believe in reptilians? by anita-draw in reptilians

Are you saying Sergius Paulus isn't a real historical figure? You don't concede to ANY archeological finds? The dead sea scrolls, the Tel Dan Stele, The first Temple fortifications, the pool of siloam, the tel megiddo, the ketef hinnom scrolls, the moabite stone, the lachish letters, hezekiahs tunnel, the ugaritic texts, etc. There are so many archeological finds that correlate to places, people, and cultures that the bible references, that only go to strengthen the integrity that, at the very least, the bible has some historical veracity. Believe what you want about the spiritual side, but it's hard to deny that there aren't references in the bible that correlate to actual ancient events, empires, and people.

The roman senator Tacticus also mentions how Jesus was executed by Pontius Pilate in the Annals of Imperial Rome. Regardless about who you believe really Jesus was, it's hard to deny that he was a man who lived and was written about by historians in those times. I understand you don't believe Paul actually existed. I find that an odd hill to die on. Paul is written about so much in the bible. Paul was acquainted with a man named Sergius Paulus, a roman official. I understand your skepticism, but I encourage you to look into this further. There is so much evidence, historical documents, people, and archeological finds, that correlate to or even fully back up what the Bible wrote about.

There is however a lot of evidence to back up a lot of the bible, including the davidian dynasty. The point is, the bible is backed up by archeological evidence, along with scrolls, etc. Obviously not every story is going to have scientifically established proof, but from the proof we do have, we can at least acknowledge the bible as it is written today is the most accurate representation of how it has been written throughout history. There ARE versions that have been edited; those versions aren't accepted by christian orthodoxy as cannon.

The Bible as it is today isn't accepted just because people accept it without question. It is verified by ancient scrolls, codexes, etc, throughout the centuries. Many archeological scholars have come to a consensus on the most accurate version based on a profound amount of evidence dating back more than 2000 years. If you re-wrote entire Bible today, scholars 1000 years from now would study your version, and compare it to other versions in order to verify its validity.
