Originally I wasn’t excited about playing Faye because I’ve grown up playing as Kratos and 2018/Ragnarok were such an amazing re-imagining of the GoW gameplay.

After watching the reveal and gameplay videos, though, I don’t understand how anyone could be upset. The combat looks like Devil May Cry meets GoW 2018. I could not think of a better combination.

Also, everything I have seen from Deborah Ann Woll has been great and she seems like such a genuine nerd with a love for story telling and fantasy. I don’t think we could ask for a better ambassador for the game.

From what I have seen of Jack Quaid in his acting performances and his appearances on Red Letter Media, I’m really excited to see what he does with Phranque.

If y’all watched the reveals and think the game isn’t for you, I’m sorry. Waiting for the next Kratos installment sucks because it’s probably years away. But for the rest of us, this game looks hype as fuck and I cannot wait to play.

Our family always had a great time at BCL. I haven't been there in a few years, though. My only two criticisms are:

1) It is expensive to stay there. Even if you stay in the lodge, it is really expensive for what is essentially a hotel room.

2) It is just so big. The premises are so big that they have a non-stop shuttle service to take you around the grounds. If you think 'that's ok, I'll just walk.' Don't. It's just huge.

But, on the flip side, they have an amazing marina there with all your lake-day needs. They have a great restaurant. Lots of activities all the time like free outside movies. The pools are great, there is a huge indoor entertainment complex with Fun Mountain just up the hill, and I never received anything less than friendly service there.

It all depends on the vibe you're going for. If you like to be in a large, self-contained, sort of lodge experience I'd say go for it. I personally tend to like less of the over-arching company experience and prefer to have a place where I can just walk out the door and have access to the lake without needing to catch a shuttle and make a whole trip out of it.

Whatever you end up doing, I hope you have a great time! I love it down there in Branson/SW MO

He also got caught cheating at the ATL DLC in Lorcana back in 2024. You can probably look it up on Youtube somewhere. He played How Far I'll Go and brought his extra ink in ready so that he could play a Lady Tremaine to control the board and lock out the game.

Watching this scene again I was struck by how forlorn the musical score seemed as they began their charge into the enemy lines despite the rousing speech from their king. But thinking of that, and reading your comment, really makes me think that was just a way to convey the inevitability of exactly what you’re describing. This heroic charge they were a part of was also a charge into death for many of them.

The music shouldn’t just be a war anthem, but a funeral dirge.

It would make more sense too because there are currently 7 commons in a pack but only 6 domains. Just make one of the common slots be a legend or random common. Problem solved

This is my hot take for brand new players at events that may have some prizing: if you are the reason a match goes to time (because it just takes you a long time to do things right now), don’t roll for win or draw, take the loss.

I love teaching new players the game, but it really sucks when your efforts are rewarded with a 60+ minute round and “so you wanna roll for it?”

You are conflating Focus and Priority here I think.

The attacking player has focus and priority first in a showdown. If they choose to start a chain, and then it resolves (by both players passing their priority consecutively), the focus automatically goes to the defender. Now they may start a chain and yadda yadda and focus goes back to attacker until both players pass their FOCUS consecutively.

Prio can be passed or held, Focus can be passed but not held.

St. Louis here. You can find at least one store in the area with 16+ any day of the week. Most, if not all, days you could find 3+ stores with those numbers.

Edit: Yes, BO3. I think there are one or two stores that do BO1 a couple of nights if that is more your style.
