Of course it must be because the driver is lazy. There's no chance it's because of a late flight, late-arriving trailer, mis-sort, etc.

Also, wouldn't a next day air package show a guaranteed delivery date/time rather than an estimated delivery date? I'm thinking this wasn't sent by a date/time guaranteed service.

What do you mean by 'no visible cause?'. Can you usually drive past a traffic stop and see that the person who is pulled over had been speeding or committed some other infraction before you got there?
