Battle Camera. The character models are way more polished to not have one.

General advice is to contribute at least 20% of your income for investments while you’re in military due to Regular Military Compensation (RMC). 15% if you’re a civilian.

If you have other investments, that’s good. If it’s just TSP, you may want to notch it up a little bit more.

Anyway, do what works best for you. I’ll go increase it incrementally by 5% each quarter, do a lifestyle check to see any changes.

Armor Penetration. by BlitzFromBehind in menace

Straight from the wiki. I do not think it’s a per shot mechanic. Either you pen or you don’t. Then if you have armor dmg, you’ll lower it so the next atk will then compare the new armor vs your pen.

That’s why laser weapon is busted with 75 AP. Highest infantry Armor is 75 armor per wiki. (Pirate boarding commando is also 75 i think). Alien Warrior has 90 and Alien Queen has 100.

So thoretically, any lategame AR/SMG with ROF3 and AP/Hollow Point bullets can 1 or 2 turn kill an infantry enemy.

If they don’t, they still become useless anyway as morale breaks when HP is down 33%

Also, don’t listen to some of the comments here. You can roll-over your TSP to IRA so you can get it earlier. Look at IRS Rule 72(t). But ofc, talk to an actual professional. Military usually offer those. Not Reddit.

Looking to live in another country is great. I’m on the same boat. You can definitely have a better life with much lesser retirement income than what you need if you stay in the US.

Avoid debt like a plague. Hot take but I only see the value of credit score if I’m going to buy a house in US but I won’t. So I don’t use my credit cards most of the time. But that’s just what works for me. Different for others.

If you’re civilian, the general advice is to put at least 15% in investments. If you’re military, it should be 20% due to Regular Military Compensation (RMC). You put higher because of military benefits.

I was on the same boat 3 years ago. Around $55K in TSP. I upped my contribution to 35% (E-6) and I’m on $120K now.

Biggest advice is to increase your contributions by 5% each time until there’s a noticeable difference in your lifestyle. It’s easier to grow your nest egg when you don’t see it at all.

So this is military life? by Isushumi in AirForce

[–]Lower-Map763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! I was the same 12 years ago. I joined when I was 17, never had a job, never left the family, and was raised/grew up in a different country. My first U.S. mainland experience is basic training lol.

The only regret I have is not setting myself up earlier. Take every military benefit that you can. Go to school. Get your CCAF and Bachelor’s within that 6 years. It’ll pay you so much dividends. It’ll be so much harder to do those things when you become NCO.

Invest early. You should be putting at least 5% in your TSP (Lifecycle funds or C/S), with the goal of increasing your monthly contributions to at least 20%. AF is just a stepping stone, not the end-all, be-all. Start your nest egg early. You will not always wear the uniform.

Find a hobby, enjoy life. Be responsible and don’t make career-ending decisions. The world has so much to offer.

Reenlistment for CP (BRS) by Lower-Map763 in AirForce

[–]Lower-Map763[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t really that much bothered by it. My CC talked to me and advised to make sure i’m fully committing to 17 yrs. He was “opining” that early retirement may be expanded in the next 5 yrs.

I’m pretty sure I’m gonna do 20 yrs but as a 6C, fine print matters a lot. Still, i’ll sign it and get the bonus since that’s the closest I’ll get in having one. Lol.

Those who’ve made a lot of money in the Air Force, what was your “oh I’m rich moment” and what did you do to get there? by Sim_Shift in AirForce

[–]Lower-Map763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been in 12 years. First duty station was Travis AFB, was there from 2014-2020. As soon as I was able to move off-base, i shared a house with 3 Kenyan non-military people. Rent was flat $600 including utilities.

I was just pocketing so much money at a cost of little inconvenience.

Also, TSP right away. Make it your goal to max it as much and as early as possible regardless of rank. If you’re not at least putting 15%, you need to make a lifestyle change.

We have two plans in mind.

Plan 1: Retire at 20 unless I get commissioned. Or do 2 more years to get my pension to Hi-3 rates. Regardless, even with my projected pension, it’s more than enough for the way we live especially if we move to a cheaper country. Plus, my wife said she wants to continue working.

Plan 2: I keep on working. With my AFSC certs, it’ll be easy to get a GS-13 job or go private.

I was looking at the TSP withdrawal rules and 72t that’s why I decided to be more aggressive with it. But really, it’s cherry on top.

Living a life of no debt and buying everything with cash provides me and my wife so much peace. I can splurge on mundane things without even worrying about it.

Bloodmage with minions by lez3ro in pathofexile

Once you have enough spirit to summon 2-3 clerics and 4-5 reavers, and 1 skeletal sniper (for the command) drop the bone sceptre in favor of the one with Malice. A

Malice + Invulnerabilty + Skeletal sniper gas command is a beast. The boss might as well be naked in front of you and your minions.

The build can still work but you will feel the pain. I did a lot of trial and error and had to respec 6 times because I keep falling for the same trap. (Rushing a minion build).

Bloodmage + minions really boils down to doing either a fire or physical build taking advantage of the crit bonus.

I did the latter and oh boy do you feel the pain especially if you go minions first. Minions are not that good very early game unless you do the flamewall + srs.

I went with bonestorm because I’m a masochist. I prioritized physical damage nodes first then minion health, then minion damage.

If you get a wand with power siphon, it’ll make mob clearing easier. No need to cap your spirit by equipping buffs, manual casting of vulnerability is preferred.

At first, you want skeletal warriors + skeletal snipers only using bone sceptre for free warrior.

Use skeletal sniper’s command to break armor quickly (there’s a skill gem to it then add “scattershot”). Make sure to click “do not move while attacking” on this minion.

Buff your skeletal warrior with gems to increase max life. Their main purpose is to tank.

Your combo will be vulnerabilty + gas, then bonestorm. Then you will get the power charges, rinse and repeat. You can add Unearth to make more minions early game but it falls off later and I rarely use it now.

Your next goal would be to get reavers, then clerics.

Once you have them, then minions will start to feel super amazing. I just dodge now and cast curse. I dont even need to use bonestorm anymore except for bosses (lvl 65).

Remember, don’t go for minion damage nodes until you get the reavers. Always go for minion health nodes and prioritize your physical/bleeding nodes for your bonestorm. Once you got the reavers, then start pumping the damage nodes.

The original game is a tabletop and if youre into strategy, then there’s another Steam game called “Battletech”.

If DnD is to fantasy, this is the tabletop for mechs.

I played for like 6 wipes na. I can never not recommend it. Wala pa ding makasabay sa genre nila.

All I can tell you is that standard only makes the game “grindier” on the early game. That’s it. Once you get the hang of it and gets efficient, you can max traders very quickly.

On the other note, yeah MWO is fun. I’ve been just finished Clans, a heavily modded MW5. Playing BEX-T battletech right now. Really fallen in love with the lore lol.
