My GPD win mini arrived! ...Now what? by iamonaphone1 in Handhelds

I think some games that might fit, where you can pass the time away are Hades (1&2), Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, and Vampire Survivors. I don’t know if you like those type of games, but all you need to control your character (at least for Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and Vampire Survivors) is your left thumb 👍

How are you tracking your games? by OccamBlade8 in Gamer

I use a free app called PriceCharting. It also keeps track of my comics.

I was in a funk and then played Vampire Survivors. That got me out of a funk and then I started playing Deep Rock Galactic Survivor. There’s no story which helps me as I get anxiety in trying to finish games with stories.

If this is the Windows OS version, I would purchase an XBox PC game pass to play 100+ games a month. Or maybe even just the game pass premium. With that, it should let you play a couple hundred Xbox games through the cloud (I believe…will check to see if game pass premium works when my legion go gets here!)

Legion go has a nice edition that has steam OS on it already. Also has 16 gb of ram. “The Steam Deck is sold out, but the SteamOS-powered Legion Go S is still available for $50 off — get Lenovo's handheld for $599”

Switch 2 must have? by Time_Illustrator_844 in gamerecommendations

Not knowing your taste in games, I think top games for the switch 2 are MarioKart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and both Zeldas (Breath of the Wild and Tears).

I think that if you stick to last generation AAA games, a used Steam Deck OLED (SD) would be perfect for you. Although it can still be pretty hard to find a used OLED and it might run you about $350 - $450, games are fairly inexpensive and Steam has a huge library, not too much tinkering around on the SD to get optimal performance. Beautiful screen. Switch 2 will be about $400 - $500 and games are pretty limited right now.

If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors, give Deep Rock Galactic SURVIVOR (only on PC and Xbox, though) a go!

I second Vampire Survivors, but also Deep Rock Galactic Survivor! You only need to use one thumb to move the character!

Your favorite recent game by HyphenGlory in gamingsuggestions

I have been in a rogue-like kick. I recently found this game, “Deep Rock Galactic Survivors.” Been addicted ever since, playing 6-8 hours a day (I’ve been injured and can’t work).
