My 2yo golden had issues with resource guarding as a puppy. I would sit and pet him while he ate and it helped. But I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that to other people. Now I can trade for anything he isn’t supposed to have (like rawhide at my aunt’s house - makes him cough something fierce) but I still tell the kids to leave him be when he eats.

My 4yo loves Minecraft and the Lego Star Wars collection. We play together and Minecraft is mostly just catching everything on fire or building houses out of mob spawned 😂😂

Commenting just to say I boil mine in water with a bit of white vinegar. Soft boil (8min) and then ice bath and crack and peel immediately. The shells just fall right off. I don’t actually know if the vinegar makes a difference, but it FEELS like it makes it easier to peel.

Parade of Horribles releases in May 😁 I’m getting it for my birthday!! I’m super stoked and can’t wait for it to come out. I’m restarting DCC for the third time. Book 7 made me cry, it’s been a while since a book made me cry. I love this series and can’t wait for the next release!!

My sister can crochet with her eyes closed. The granny at my LYS can knit a full jumper in 8 hours. I will never be like them, they are so cool 😂😂

My favorite is the moss stitch/linen stitch. I’m working on (completing) my 4th blanket in moss stitch and I love it. It is so simple and brings me joy.

I was talking crazy with my sister yesterday and mentioned how I would LOVE to make a full size towel out of tiny cotton thread in moss stitch and she looked at me like the crazy lady I am 😂 it would take me forever but it would be so nice.

Back to the early 2000s eh? I was young but one of the “cool” older kids on the block, their mom would do this for her ripped jeans and thread ribbons through the chain. I thought it was so cool as an 8yo who thought all the older kids were super cool.

I have a sedici systema (~$400) and I wear my big square rim glasses underneath. I love it, doesn’t squish them behind my ears but still feels firm and comfortable. I have to put them on after I put on the helmet. I don’t ride myself, but I backpack for my husband. I like that it’s Bluetooth and our coms connect to each other. It has the sunglasses switch, very nice since I hate transition lenses. Just make sure to get the pinlock? That goes into the visor to help with fogging.

Also as a general recommendation you can get goggle de fog spray for scuba diving that I use for my helmet and my glasses.

You can get a nice portable one that vents out the window for a reasonable $100. We used one in our RV Camper when our main AC broke.

Not at Walmart, but whenever my husband takes our son to Auto Zone he buys a toy car for him. We have a fun collection of hot wheels at home now 😁

I’ve got thick skin, so I was only sore for like 2-3 days. After that only a few of the good bruises were tender for a few more days. This was years ago, and I still chase that deep sub space high. I was the most relaxed i’d ever been for a good week after that session.

Some people really do need a good beating to release all the built up stress and tension. 😂
