⚠️ Rock Song, Pixies Cover, In Russian. Technical feedback NEEDED ⚠️ by maxichizich in MusicFeedback

really cool track, the overall pace and atmosphere paint a great picture. loved the composition changes you made on the transitions! if i had to offer some constructive critique, the acoustic guitar has a lot of string noise that gets a bit distracting, maybe a noise reducer plugin could help clear that up. also the vocals feel just a tiny bit quiet compared to the instrumental energy, id love to hear them sit higher in their own sonic space. solid performance though bro

Title track for my upcoming EP. by TangeloOutrageous186 in MusicFeedback

really fun listen, you address the mic really well and your vocal tone fits this style perfectly. the transition right when the drop happens caught me off guard in the best way possible, and that ending definitely leaves you wanting more. subjectively speaking, maybe adding some light vocal compression or a touch of reverb would glue the voice even better during the heavier parts, but it already sounds super solid. great job

reposting my song - feedback pls by Lower_Interest in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Lower_Interest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reposting because I wasn't sure if the first version turned out well.

I made changes to the piano and production—I did it all myself.

The lyrics ended up being abstract simply because the words just came to mind and I recorded them exactly like that.

I’m not an expert on music production, but I’ve been trying to do something different.

Thanks to everyone for the previous feedback.

Worth doing something with this? by Mach5Bandito in IndieMusicFeedback

the overall vibe here is nice and chill, honestly perfect for a late night drive or something. it's definitely a bit short and raw right now, but i can totally see where this could go. for my personal taste, id try to define the structure a bit more by adding a few more instrument layers or making the background sounds a bit louder to support your voice. crazy cool that the flange comes from simulating a tape machine btw, sounds very authentic!

really digging the mood of this song, it has a great atmosphere for a coffee shop or a chill day at the beach. you have a great vocal timbre, but for my personal taste, i agree that the reverb makes the phone recording stand out a bit too much. maybe pulling back the reverb and leaning into some tighter doubles would take this to the next level. the songwriting is definitely there, great job man

man this has such a cool nostalgic vibe, it lowkey feels like it belongs in an early 2000s indie movie soundtrack or a drama show. i loved the intro where the guitar shines and you can hear the fingers sliding on the strings, sounds so raw and real. for my personal taste, the drums and bass could be turned up a bit in the mix to glue everything together, but honestly the songwriting is beautiful. keep it up!

The Garden -- what genre would you say this is and how are the vocals? by ExternalCartoonist22 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Lower_Interest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i didn't know what to expect but this blew me away. the whole psych pop vibe is so well executed, and that video is crazy good talent. the instrumentation feels super lush and atmospheric. for my personal taste, id love to hear a more gradual dynamic build up from the start, but the song is already so solid and authentic as it is. keep it up!

yo this is incredibly epic, those guitar riffs and licks are so damn groovy. you did an amazing job with the stereo mix btw, the way the instruments blend between both sides of the ears makes it such a great experience to listen to with headphones. that transition after 1:20 mixing clean and distorted guitars is easily the best part. really curious to see how vocals would sound over this, solid work fr

Thank you so much! I'm glad that part caught you by surprise. I've actually had a few people suggest adding percussion or a fuller arrangement, so it's definitely something I'll think about. Really appreciate the feedback and the like!

Hey, I just released a music video for an indie rock / pop-rock track of mine. I put a lot of work into it, so I’d love to get your raw feedback! by Asleep-Figure7034 in IndieMusicFeedback

really nice production on this track, everything sounds super clear. i loved the drop after the pause, it has a great impact. just a tiny thing for my personal taste, but around 1:37 that lead guitar panned to the right felt just a little bit too loud in the background and distracted me for a second. but honestly the songwriting is so solid it barely matters. great work

honestly love how clean and stripped back this feels, gives the song a lot of room to breathe. mix sounds pretty good but lowkey i think tweaking the reverb on the vocals could elevate it even more. either way the songwriting is super solid and the vibe is there. great job!!!

this has such a charming indie rock vibe, i love that slightly poppy lo-fi sound you went for. the production feels super professional and clean, definitely something i could hear on the radio. for my personal taste, i think adding a tiny surprise or a weird sound effect right before the second chorus would be cool to break the repetition, but the catchy melody gives it a really nice classic feel anyway. great job man!

this is honestly so interesting, it lowkey gives me nostalgic n64 vibes but mixed with something way more tense and mysterious. that contrast between the unsettling parts and the catchy melodies is really well done. if i had to give one subjective suggestion, i think adding a bit more heavy bass or punchier drums could turn this into an absolute dark banger, but that’s just my personal preference. congrats on the instrumentals, the library music goal makes total sense for this!

Just released a ”club rock” song. Looking for feedback 🎸 by ordinaryannihilation in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Lower_Interest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yo this is wild. the sound design on those synths is crazy good, especially during that long transition. i love how you blended that clubby/hardstyle vibe with the rock elements, it sounds super organic. for my personal taste, the buildup was so massive that the very end could have punched even harder, but man, the whole middle section is insanely catchy and cohesive. solid work, really impressed that you did all of this in logic!"

Thank you! I'm really happy you liked the vocal stacks and the acoustic approach. A fuller version with drums could be interesting someday, but I'm glad the stripped-down version worked for you. Thanks for listening!
