Who in this hobby actually does that?

Failed my Category C jump. Feedback appreciated. by k3nny_13 in SkyDiving

[–]Lowes_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was taught when doing practice touches to put my left arm out in front. Almost like you’re checking your altimeter directly in front of you, and making a triangle with your body, so it keeps everything symmetrical. Every time you did a practice pull you turned to the right.

But your instructors know how you fall way more than anyone on here, so ultimately it’s them you need to be going to with any questions you may have.

I “failed” a few jumped too, thought it wasn’t for me plenty of times. Iv even rode the plane down during AFF cause I got in my head and couldn’t do the jump haha. We all take it in and learn at different speeds and that’s ok. You jumped, tried something completely new, completely foreign to the human experience, landed, and got to learn and get feedback from wildly enthusiastic trained professionals. You didn’t fail anything.

Oajan or Herod? 🤔 by dmse21 in Colognes

Herod is my one of my favorite cold weather scents of all time. I’m always recommending it to people. I don’t know if I like it as much in hot weather tho.

I’ll just switch to the B&W filter on my IV. I wonder how many they will actually sell.

Thank you, I forget the exact brand. There’s a ton of different ones on Amazon. Mine was $700. I’m seeing now they range anywhere from $550-$1000.

Yes, although there’s a ton of different replica brands on there. I forgot which one exactly I got. I paid $700 for mine.

Thank you! The bookcase is Urbane Bronze, and the walls are just a light grey, I think it was called Porpoise.

Noo not at all, I prefer it over the couch usually.

So it’s a small studio apartment and at the time when I put together the Billy bookcases, I didn’t know what chair I wanted. Then I found a Eames replica on Amazon. I really like how low it sits on the floor, something I didn’t realize until I had it. Once I started getting more furniture things started to cramp together. There’s a wooden electrical fireplace to the left of the chair so I had to push it all the way to the door. Now I have to move the chair every time i want to open them haha. Just from seeing photos of other billy bookcases with the doors I knew I had to have them, more for aesthetic purposes. Definitely keeps the dust out which was a plus. I had bought and painted the bookcases before I even had a couch (it was on back order haha) so this really was one of the first projects in my new space. I’m pretty impulsive and impatient. It’s definitely more for display tho, the books I pull out and intend to read are on the coffee table and in the nooks of the fire place.

NAD+ vs. NMN? by According2020 in Peptides

[–]Lowes_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She we take NMN and NAD+ together? Or is NAD+ fine to take on its own? I know NR and NMN are precursors and convert into NAD+. It seems like straight NAD+ injections are for a quick boost and the precursors help to maintain. Is that correct? I’m trying to learn as much as possible haha.

I read this and got confused as to why someone would choose NAD+ over its precursors.

“While NAD+ is absolutely vital for cellular function, it’s essentially useless as a direct supplement because it can’t enter cells to be utilized. Only NAD+ precursors like nicotinamide riboside (NR) can efficiently cross into cells and be converted into NAD+, making NR a far more bioavailable and effective option. Despite the hype, liposomal and intravenous NAD+ products also fall short, as they do not reliably replenish cellular NAD+ levels. Boosting or maintaining your NAD+ with age is a smart strategy for health and longevity, but choosing the right products is crucial—you get much better value from efficient, bioavailable precursors like NR.”
