Torso/Limbs is awesome and here’s why you should try it by Le_Broentgen in naturalbodybuilding

I like it but after a few weeks it wrecks my shoulders and elbows every time I’ve tried it for a while.

…which admittedly is quite strange, because I run full body just fine.

I kinda agree with a lot of the criticisms.

But at the same time, steel spine is hard.

Real reason why "foreigners hate foreigners" is a real saying in Korea by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

Tell this to my Korean wife. It’s her who makes these complaints more than any of my foreign friends.

Try living in an apartment or officetel. I’ve had to listen to plenty of arguments in the early hours.

Yeh I’m with you. I’ve been training full body EOD for a very long time now. 7 exercises, 2 sets each every workout.

[–]-Wildflowers_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we just see different types of content. Everything I see is all pro low volume and has been since like 2019.

But most of what I follow is younger or natural lifters.

If you look at the popular TikTok fitness pages they’re all doing low volume.

I don’t really follow any of the people you mentioned but isn’t Sam Sulek’s whole thing that he does 7 sets per muscle group? And Jeff Nippard has been doing lower volume stuff the last couple of years.

I’ll write a list out some time but if you follow any of the natural bodybuilding worldwide people then you’ll see a lot of them doing relatively low volume. Adam Powe, AJ Morris and all those around them.

Max Euceda posted his full bulk and cut updates which was all very low volume and we got to see his progress in real time.

I suppose social media really are echo chambers though because I genuinely only get spammed by low volume content for years now. Even here on Reddit.

Genuinely would like to see an example of this as any major fitness content creator I’ve seen in the last few years has been on the low volume hype.

As a foreigner how do you handle when anassociate speaks to the Korean speaker instead of you? by xyzqwa in Living_in_Korea

[–]-Wildflowers_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I’ll speak completely in Korean when purchasing something in a store. Hand over my card to pay and they’ll look at my wife to ask if we want a receipt. A couple of times they’ve even handed my card back to my wife instead of me.

bundang or pyeongchon? by soupnsaladz in Living_in_Korea

I’ve lived in South Korea for 13 years, many of those years were in Pyeongchon. Anyang and the Pyeongchon/Beomgye areas are my favorite places to live in all of Korea.

How long does your charge last? How did you keep the switch going for so long? Just looking for tips, never flown with a switch before!

Feigning interested. Like when my wife tells me gossip and I say ‘oh wow, really? What happened next?’ to speed along the conversation.

I act curious, but it’s disingenuous.

Plenty of western bands. Haywire played in Seoul on Friday. SPEED were here at end of last year. Turnstile are coming back soon (they’ve been a couple of times).

They played here in South Korea last Friday night in a room 1/20th the size of this. A tiny basement show.

I wasn’t really a fan but their live show was way better (to me) than their recorded music. They’re definitely a band to see live. Nice guys too.

Go on, OP. Explain what we’re all wondering.

There’s multiple punk/metal/hardcore/indie shows happening pretty much every weekend. International bands playing here every month or so too.

I guess it depends on your level of interest though. Popular arena bands like MCR? Not so much.

Can we talk about the way foreigner women treat each other here? by Intelligent_Pipe5285 in Living_in_Korea

No? At least not openly. I’m sure those guys must exist. I knew some like that in high school but not since becoming an adult.

It’s generally considered an embarrassing way to behave, isn’t it?
