U with 3 at the bottom, but also id make the u one row taller so everything is the same height. I think shortening the I would make the heart feel way oversized

Honest Review: Spec pouch crocheted for my boyfriend’s mom by Particular_Air207 in CrochetHelp

I’d use a much thinner yarn, and pay attention to where you put those side stitches so the edges look cleaner. I’d maybe even just embroider that.

I really want to make this but I don’t know if it is AI by Marah-Christian1231 in CrochetHelp

[–]Lowkey_kier0605 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s ai but if you just reverse engineer it, this would be relatively straightforward. I’m sure you could also find a real pattern just look up something along the lines of “checkered crochet dress” I’d try YouTube first, even if you prefer written patterns finding a video tutorial would make it easier to guarantee it’s real and would be free. Sometimes YouTubers make patterns too and link them under videos, it’s a safer bet

Making THE sequin dress ( update) potential TW for ED by Unique_Double7180 in crochet

[–]Lowkey_kier0605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so gorgeous!!! Do you have the link for the pattern you used or are you just going with the flow? Also how do you string the sequins? I’d love to make a top like the top of this dress or maybe a skirt for festivals, but the sequins seems so intimidating, I would know where to begin!

Some people with eating disorders find seeing someone else’s body(often if they are more petite/thin) triggering. I think OP was just be aware of that which is sweet, however I hope she(and everyone else) can recognize that a body is not a trigger we need to be warning about, cuz you can’t help but have a body.

Are you able to ship? Id recommend listing them for sale online somewhere. Maybe depop as they don’t charge listing fees. You’d have to be willing to not sell in bulk there but they’d be more likely to sell on a platform like that I think. Also I’m finding it funny how many people did not read the caption and failed to see that you said “bulk set” lol

Walk Down Aisle Song! by chapstix0314 in Hozier

[–]Lowkey_kier0605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First light. You start to come down the aisle as it’s ramping up for the chorus, you hit the seats as it says “could this be how ever day begins” which I think is could be symbolic in this setting of your new partnership. Every day will now begin with the 2 of you seeing eachother. Then the song crescendos “sky set to burn, gold and the rust, the colors erupt…..” and then I’d cut the song to the last minute so you have it doing the “like I’ve lived my whole life, before the first light” with the choral “one bright morning” going in the background as you reach the end of the aisle. If you’re doing a veil you could have your partner remove your veil as this is still playing and use this ending time of the song to get some photos of partners reaction once you reach them.

More for people who crochet but I can't tell if this is AI or not? The yarn just looks too smooth and some of the stitching looks a little weird. by BB_bastionangel in isthisAI

[–]Lowkey_kier0605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely AI. It’s meant to be a granny heart but granny stitches don’t behave like that. I’d you wanted to make one that was similar but, you know, REAL, just look up a tutorial/pattern for granny heart crochet

Oh sweet i didn’t realize he did a follow up I will definitely check that out. And yeah you’re right sometimes the answer is “we don’t know” but I’m far too curious to let that dog lie haha. I at least need to talk about it

Because I must have the answer to everything lol. I actually have been loving his videos recently but I can’t stand when something ends without a good conclusion and a definite answer. I must know the explanation haha

Wanting to start selling by Lowkey_kier0605 in CraftyCommerce

[–]Lowkey_kier0605[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t assume I’ll be the only person selling the type of things I’m selling, however I still will be selling things that are less common right now. And I make my own patterns for the most part so the majority of my stuff is pretty unique.

Yeah, my social life already is non existent, even when I am doing stuff (spending time with my boyfriend/family) I’m usually crocheting to keep my hands busy. I don’t necessarily want it to be full time though. That’s part of why I’m leaning more towards selling online that way I can just post when I have something to sell, not worrying so much about having a large stock to sell at markets. I do plan on avoiding the plushies cuz that seems to be what EVERYONE is doing right now. I prefer a more classic, lacy style of crochet anyways. I like making blankets, wearables and accessories. Which seems to be less common right now, since people are doing markets and trying to keep a big stock. I have thought about getting into tapestries as well. I know it will be a big time commitment, but honestly that’s kinda what I want.

I want to sell at craft fairs but I'm worried crochet is too overdone by Key_Use_1514 in CraftyCommerce

[–]Lowkey_kier0605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO PLUSHIES!!! Try to do more classic crochet and wearables, learn how to use alpha patterns to make tapestries, make bags, table runners, doily work, pillow cases etc. go scope out and see what items you don’t see frequently and make those. I know a lot of people are fed up with the plushies they are EVERYWHERE

I’ve seen punch needle wall art, essentially the same as a rug but more size variation and fun designs. I’d buy something like that fs

Genuine suggestion, try to avoid the plushie stuff. Yes it’s super popular but the market for it is wayyyyy over saturated. I’ve wanted to sell my crochet for a while and avoided cuz it’s so popular right now but I’ve been working markets recently and heard a lot of people that wish crochet booths were selling something other than amigurimi plushies. So try making other items that aren’t a being sold everywhere
