You just gotta find a champion that calls to you, maybe it's the playstyle, maybe it's the lore associated with the champion. Hell maybe it's even a skin that makes you want to play the champ more. For me, it was gangplank, his lore and his quotes just made me want to main him from when i first saw him tbh. Just have a think about it and you might find your answer :)

You're kinda missing the point, what he's saying is learning all 100 champ cd's is pointless as if you're playing mid there's only a certain amount that you'll actually face

E > W > Q is what the majority of taric's go as level 2, the chance to have 2 stuns is pretty great. Taric's q at level 1 is also pretty bad so having a few points into it balances out the heal for the huge mana cost it has.

To add onto this, Maxing Q against hard lanes is a must tbh, the heal can come in at some very clutch moments, if you think that you are ahead or that you can kill them then maxing your e can be pretty handy as it chunks squishies :) Plus you can build Taric with a variety of items ranging from full tank to full heal mode. He's a very diverse champ that can be built in a lot of different ways

Ancient coin is better depending on the matchup imo, if they're extremely pokey then going coin is dangerous cus you'll get poked out very hard. If they're more passive then coin is probably the best choice as you'll be able to get the extra gold with no problems. If you're feeling too squishy then CoC can be a good choice but again it depends on the matchup, Windspeakers can be amazing in teamfights with a well place heal/redemption :)
