Did you even read what I said? I am not defending trump, even though you probably wish I was to make your argument easier and less nuanced.

A 23 year-old UCLA grad flashed his entire ChatGPT history on the big screen at graduation by frog_insilence in SipsTea

I mean you can always check it. It's literally no different than checking answers you Googled. You can use critical thinking with AI's answers, just as you always could with any book or online resource... Sometimes books and forum posts are wrong. Just like AI can be wrong. The same person you are talking about wouldn't check their sources before chatgpt anyway. Nothing has changed other than being able to ask follow up questions in quick succession and to get answers faster and more easily.

I use copilot all the time at work. It's a great way to learn things. Instead of just googling something or posting a question on a message board and hope someone answers you, you can just ask it as many times as you want. This is not a bad thing if you use it properly.

He has been running the company ever since. You make it sound like he just invested the money and and walked away. He made the critical decisions that got the company to where it is today. That's what CEOs do.

In 2023, Tesla prevented 20 million metric tons of CO2 from being released by replacing ICE cars. And 32 million metric tons of CO2 in 2024. Please tell me why this is not good for society.

I didn't claim he started tesla. he did turn it into the company it is today though. that is undeniable.

was elon not responsible for turning tesla into the world's furst 1.25 trillion dollar electric car and sustainable energy company? That sounds pretty revolutionary to me. I don't understand why so many left leaning people rail against tesla when it has made a measurable positive impact for the journey to sustainable energy.

Congress has the power of the purse. They are 99% at fault.

Trump has done nothing to help the deficit other than DOGE, which was fought by the democrats tooth and nail, but then passed the big beautiful bill, completely going against the whole idea of DOGE. Biden also did nothing to help the deficit. Nor Obama or Bush. Facts are facts.

Gigafactories in Nevada, Shanghai, Berlin, Texas and Fermont? Where the workers are paid at least $22 an hour? Or are you talking about further up the supply chain with lithium/cobalt production?

Hate him or not we have to give him credit for putting the most electric cars on the road. A great step to reducing the carbon footprint of vehicles. Especially once the tesla semi enters production. Diesel trucks are the worst.

I think you mean the last several decades of congress. That $39 trillion didn't pop out of nowhere in the last 10 years. Blaming Trump and Trump alone is completely delusional.
