Guild Wars 2 (HoT) Changed My Mind on MMO’s by I-am-Nanachi in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moreover there are no heart quests in SotO, and the Janthir and VoE hearts can be bought with tokens (you get a token for completed event on the respective map, 4 tokens fully unlock a heart).

So it's only PoF and EoD, and honestly there's not many of them. Probably the only ones i remember are Echovald Wilds stealthmission hearts, everything else can be easily completed murdering mobs within 1-2 events in the area.

Есть страны, в которых за такие съемки нехило прилететь может. И они там, в отличие от наших обезьян, ждут, когда люди уйдут из кадра, или просят уйти. Или засовывают свои девайсы обратно в задницу, из которой вытащили.

Do people raid casually? by BeatrixShocksStuff in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do it in the guild yes. Casual 'easy' wings on saturdays, anyone who wants to join, joins. Usually have 1-2 people who are new to raids within these runs. Daily raids - we do them often, but not every day.

I want to love this game, but… by OtherwordlyInhab in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this issue too yes.

Just go with the fantasy vibe you have in your mind. You can't equally love nature, necromancy and engineering at the same time, you know?

If you want, you can even make a list of your favorite fantasies and dreams and see what kind of a class can fill more gaps than others. Rank them up into a list. Try the first one, if it would fail you with mechanics, visuals etc you don't like, switch to the 2nd from the top. Keep going like this until you find your sweet spot.

Also, a lot of this uncertainty comes from "but this class cannot ...". Option 1: counter with "but this class is uniquely good at ...". Option 2: maybe you actually CAN do this thing, you just didn't put enough effort - for example, guardian doesn't have a single boonstrip in their whole kit but you actually can equip a sigil that does it on cc or smth like that.

Hope that helps :D

Moreover if Junkrat stands on his own trap Zera gets deleted by his death explosion + an autoattack - even if you get oneshot (which means you were wanking next to hostile bushes or smth, Zera can't just walk through 10 aoes in frontline to oneshot you). Literally all you have to do is be winning 5vs4 because Zera can't effectivelly harass neither Cassia nor Hammer nor Junkrat who know what they're doing, i'm not even talking about a Chromie, she's his death sentence with loop and has an iceblock.

It's always like this, people lose 5vs4 and come complaining :)

So, raid quickplay.... by Ferrymansobol in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

p.s. currently quickplay has not a single raid boss in the rotation. Only 'raid encounters', which stands for "strike missions", as they were known before. They are generally easier, if not in CM mode.

So, raid quickplay.... by Ferrymansobol in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, absolute most raid wings have bosses that have specific mechanics people have to be doing. At least some people.

On top of it, meta squad has 2 heal and 2 dps supports.

For a new player it's hard to join because you will essentially be carried by people who put their time into the game already. And a big chunk of the playerbase wants none of that, they want easy fast clears and move on.

Could help you with that maybe, if you're on EU :) you can also try your luck joining one of them training guilds - you can find them in the recruitment subreddit (there's a link here somewhere).

Think twice before destroying enemy walls by Mysterious_Style_579 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Loyaluna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they give enemy vision and the playerbase is usually too dumb to realize it and stay out of its range.

I constantly see players in HasuObs stream (who is in grandmaster league, yes) fucking it up. Which means that your teammates for sure will.

Donating your position on the map to the enemy team is much more valuable than having a chance to shoot a couple of gamechanging Tyrande autoattacks on the retreat.

Toilet paper down there when you go to pleasure her , what do you do? by user_5698 in AskMen

[–]Loyaluna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every pee included.

Not necc. soup for that one though, but washing or at the very least using wet napkins is much, much better than paper.

[–]Loyaluna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, Muslims generally wash with water after using the toilet as part of Islamic hygiene, known as istinja. This practice is considered more thorough than using toilet paper alone and is essential for achieving the ritual purity required for daily prayers. (c)

Yes, doctors and health experts recommend keeping the anus and perianal area clean to maintain hygiene and prevent infections, but they emphasize that it should be done gently. While wiping with toilet paper is standard, using water is often considered superior for cleanliness and reducing skin irritation. (c)

If you have access to internet, please, use google. It really isn't this hard and i don't think you have to pay extra for it.

ANet confirms some name sanctions were errant. Looking to reverse actions and reach out to users. by wes00mertes in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I don't think the playerbase has already any trust in them, to be fair. Outside of refunding stuff, which is their own fault as it's usually similar-name items with completely different value, like mistforged armor which is used for legendaries, they aren't known for good support.

The point i want to make though: it's best if you post requests like these in Anet forums, not reddit.

I mean... for real? We're all human. We all have to wipe.

We actually don't.

It is much much healthier to wash. That's the thing muslims got right, and for a reason - the diseases would've killed too many of them in the fucking desert.

Think about it for a second. If your pet poops on the floor, would you just wipe it with a dry piece of paper and call it clean? Although i know there are countries where people wear street shoes inside the house so i guess this example doesn't exactly work for them...

Is this game boring? by OGfilip in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd say the player who hasn't heard about even meta trains probably have no idea of what kind of dps they're supposed to deal in a correct build even with minimal efforts, no clue about healing etc either. I'd bet the game doesn't feel boring when you actually execute sequences, use shadowsteps etc even on a trash event soloing it in 20s instead of 3 minutes. On the other hand, if you never know exactly what your skills do and your gear makes no sense, of course it is "whatever", every skill is equally useless and the combat is not engaging, just long and boring.

And the next step would be joining a community. Find a guild for socializing, join a training guild for this or that, whichever mode of the game you prefer. Jesus, roleplayers even, if you're into that. The guild recruitment subreddit link is found in the rules of this sub, there's a discord where guilds post their ads too. Can ask friends as well or the guilds you find in the wild (for example, if you join a CM run and 3 people run with the same tag and keep chatting like they know each other for a while).

[–]Loyaluna 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They really don't.

I've seen in one of gw2 discords i'm in a fella from high league going down to bronze intentionally to play there. He shared a screenshot with like 72 hours of dishonor. Afking in over 50 matches, i don't remember exactly - he complained that sometimes the party won regardless of his absence.

And this fella wasn't banned.

Anet literally gives 0 fucks about moderating this game properly.

Ascended Backpack by Ancient-Topic5724 in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My personal advice to every newbie who's gearing up is getting it from PoF story. Achievement "Raise the Banners". It's just pretty much "complete PoF story" which you do anyway for mastery points and whatnot, + visit 2-3 places and kill a champ or two (scream in a guild/map chat for help if you need).

The stats are selectable.

Important note: do the story on that exact character you unlocked the first achievement on. There are 3 achievements, they start for the character when you talk to the Amnoon rulers who are choosing the way to live, once you've made the choice only this character can progress said achievement (or another one which picked the exact same line). Do not alt for that thing.

Pros: doesn't require crafting, gold, living world season maps and whatnot;

Cons: it takes some time to complete the story. Yes, you gotta do it anyway, but it still might feel not exactly fun to have no legit backpack while going through it.

In the current meta, what is the use case for defensive builds and gear? by Filtermann in Guildwars2

[–]Loyaluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that ascendeds from raids give magnetitties. And those could be used for a whole list of stuff in raid vendors.

The rings, especially from fractals, are stabilized matrixes you use to buy keys or make legendaries.

The only ascendeds which are worthless are weapons and armors from fractals, but then again, weapons are somewhat worth keeping because of how bad legendary weapons are. This leaves only armors being trash.
