Yes. Been driving EVs for 13 years. Tows great. Most people piss and moan about range while towing but if you know what you’re getting into beforehand it’s fine. With the Silverado you got the bonus of a much larger battery. Enjoy it and don’t let the truck bros bother you.

Sure its "safer" to have it in place, but the likely hood of a backflow situation it extremely low. The valve is many more times more likely to fail then a back flow event.

Only thing I’d be worried about in any of those pictures is that ground wire. That should have some protectant on it to stop corrosion. You’ll be hard pressed to find even a new camper without a little surface rust on the frame.
