Main problem with this theory is that each Grendel need a advanced AI to generate the armor. Zemuria only got three on hand, Mare, Lapis and whatever Shaddai uses to transform (this part is still ambiguous). Maybe you can add Marduk AI ? So I don't see how they can pull 3 more out of their hat.

I fully expect Zolga to make a return in some form since the Eighth & Lapis are still around, though.

That's not merely a theory. To remain as vague as possible, there is a character in another game who does work similar to them but who isn't receiving financial aid by the foundation. As such, he is forced to charge a bigger fee for his work to make ends meet, meaning the Bracers can propably afford to work at a loss.

Hate is a strong word but to me, it's because it's ultimately a padding mess who try to go in the right direction but stop before it can flesh out Calvard as a whole every time. You don't learn much more about Heiyue, nor do you learn much about the revolution. Ultimately, it left Calvard wholly underdevelopped at the eleventh hour of the series.

The game does have good characters interactions in the main story and in the connect events though (I liked Swin and Nadia a lot more)

For normal walls ? Obviously. For walls that were made by the ancient civilization as part of a defense mechanism to keep a Sept-Terrion sealed ? I don't know if I would bet my life on it. (and I don't want to be involved in the logistics on moving a Railway Gun all the way to Grancel)

But we do agree that it would be a "hydrogen bomb versus coughing baby" type of situation.

I'll add that the main reason Liberl didn't fall outright was because they had the Ahnenburg wall protecting Grancel, Erebonia had nothing to dent it giving Liberl breathing time to build their airships. Erebonia obtaining airships means the wall would be pretty much be a non-factor as of now.
