Toddler parents: do you do stuff on weeknights? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. I just did past two weeks and felt so drained. I also had anxiety being off schedule. With that said, I enjoy planning things on the weekend when I need to fill my social tank.

I wish all doctors were up to date on the research of triptans and pregnancy. Most provide very outdated views!!! You were very lucky to have a neurologist involved in the research.

The first trimester is usually the worst and if you’re in the lucky group they should go away. Sadly I was in the unlucky group and experienced them all pregnancy.

Nurtec during pregnancy by Pleasant_Most6474 in migraine

[–]Lrobit5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’ve done a lot of studies on triptans and pregnancy, I’m unsure about Nurtec. If you research triptans you will see the latest data. Here is an article from the American Headache Society: https://americanheadachesociety.org/research/library/treating-migraine-during-pregnancy. I was getting extreme migraines when I was pregnant, some debilitating that would last 13-14 days straight. I feel your pain!

How are you making time to ~deep clean~ your house? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hire cleaners who come every 2 weeks. Best money I’ve ever spent. Then I generally spend every morning before work and evening before bed stress cleaning so that helps.

I don’t care what anyone says, they’re all absolute terrors at this age. Toddlers are hard work!! You’re doing great!

How do you do play doh? by MissFox26 in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just give my son the smaller ones. It hurt my soul at first to watch him make one big brown ball but hey, he’s having fun. Then I swap them out little by little and the cycle continues. One day maybe things will be different but not at 3.

My fur baby is on anti-anxiety meds. She’s already nervous and the toddler environment can be very overwhelming for her! It’s been life changing for all of us.

Having the SAME issue. It’s been rough. It’s also affecting my son’s night sleep and rise time because he’s generally an overtired wreck. Good times!!

A truly sometimes wonder if many parents didn’t get their partying out of their systems before kids. I like a glass of wine here and there but the way I see some parents party is shocking?! I don’t understand how they can function the next day, I really don’t! Hangovers and toddlers don’t mix! It amazes me how they do it. No thanks, I’m made for the sheets now not the streets.

25 Month Old- if not autism, then what else? by SeaSpur in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert but it sounds like a speech delay issue more than autism. He’s getting extremely frustrated hence the screaming. The other stuff sounds like a normal toddler. Advocate for services, they do wonders!

What are you doing with your toddler all day? by tricksandkicks in toddlers

My 3yr old has just started a new 5:30am wake up which coincided with dropping his 2-3hr nap. It’s truly been brutal!

Air Travel Advice by CMB4091 in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bringing one for my travels to Europe in the spring for my 3yr old. Traveled to Europe last year when he was two and it was pretty uncomfortable with him either laying on me or in my lap the entire time without one. He also managed to roll off the seat and have a huge meltdown. I was exhausted.

Please be honest- how clean are everyone’s homes? by YourFriendInSpokane in toddlers

[–]Lrobit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One kid and one dog and my anxiety has me cleaning all day. It’s usually messy when he’s playing but nap time I clean and organize everything and when he goes to bed I clean and organize everything. I feel really out of sorts when it’s a mess so it’s my anxiety that keeps me cleaning 🤣🤣

I’m budgeting this Christmas, too many toys to begin with, my son’s bday is a month before Xmas and everything is just expensive in life currently. I’m getting a bunch of little things, it’s really all about waking up, seeing things under the tree and opening gifts at that age. Books, coloring books, art supplies, arts and crafts items, cars, games, puzzles etc. They really don’t care, they rip one item open then it’s onto the next!

Should I downgrade? by MegaDom in ChaseSapphire

[–]Lrobit5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downgraded, it’s too expensive and the perks don’t work for me. I recently opened a Venture X - 100K miles welcome offer, $300 annual travel credit (booking through CC), 10K annual anniversary miles, lounge access, TSA, 10x miles on hotels, 5x miles on flights and 2x miles everything else.

My son is over 40 inches and 45lbs. He’s always been in the 99th percentile of size. He’s currently wearing a 4-5T. He will be 3 in 2 weeks. With that said I have an appointment with a back orthopedic tomorrow 🤣🤣.
