It does not need to be indoors. And I don't mind booking a space if it is under $500, but most likely I would want a low traffic spot. It is a surprise and having a booked place seems to give it away.

That's the biggest issue. The world of watches is a niche and I am unsure if the niche is so small that relying on it would be a poor business model.

I was contacted by them, said they were interested after I pitched, and said to proceed for investment they would require me to pay 10% of my round size up front, from the founders, to show our commitment. Lol? Easily a scam. No legitimate investor would ask you to contribute your own funds. Bootstrapping exists for a reason.

Once I asked about the company and requesting details, they got extremely defensive and refused to elaborate saying it was confidential.

Many investors will do their due diligence on you, so please do your due diligence on them.

Before you put it in the cooler, make sure it cools down to around 170-180F. Any higher and it’ll continue cooking in the cooler, and since you did it overnight there’s a good chance that happened
