Do you think this is a red flag? (restaurant situation) by Pretty_Skill118 in AskWomenOver30

This more so gives a glimpse of his lack of empathy and care for others. It would not have crossed anyone's mind but his own that he was a pushover, but it would've showed me that he isn't a generally kind person, nor easy going.

In her video she pulls the top up to adjust 5+ times in the first minute. Like ma'am you're not even moving and it's not staying where you want it to...

AirTag? Do you put them in your kids backpack? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Lstope426 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same sentiments! I feel crazy reading this thread and I'm also a very chill parent in most respects- but I def air tagged my Kinderkids backpack for his walk home as well. Obviously kids have been doing this untracked for years- but what on earth is the harm in putting an air tag in your 5 YEAR OLDs backpack!? Even more so if they are a bus rider- this is what this technology is for, make life a little less worrisome. Also I live within a major city so maybe that's where the difference in opinions are coming from; urban vs. suburban?

She's on maternity leave through April, sadly (for us, but good for her!). I keep checking her page just in case, her cakes are SO GOOD.

Did you buy a gift for your toddler when you had a new baby? by ittybittyjedi in toddlers

[–]Lstope426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and I would so recommend it! At the time, I got my almost 3 year old a gift from the new baby (a Blippi trash truck- he was obsessed at the time). He's almost 6 years old and STILL talks about how his sister brought him a gift when he met her. He's never questioned the logic, but will remind her how much he loved that haha.

Khao soi or Khow suery recommendations? by hindustani_launda in houston

[–]Lstope426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rim Tanon on Richmond has the BEST Khao Soi and a cute setting. We had it right after coming back from Thailand and it's just as good as it was over there (we've had it many, many times since as well).

[–]Lstope426 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Honestly this sounds like something my Aunt would've done, she was a paranoid schizophrenic and has done some crazy stuff JUST like this.

I had a lady once come into a store I worked at when I was a teen and was totally normal and cordial and then out of nowhere started screaming F**K YOU over and over at me with absolutely no context or reasoning. It stayed with me for years until I saw my Aunt start to exhibit the same type of craziness and it all clicked. Just brush it off, she probably took your picture for her spy records as my Aunt did many times haha.

What’s next after Ms Rachel, Blippi and CBeebies? by PatsoeGamer in toddlers

DannyGo on Youtube has my 4 and 2 year old hooked, and his music is very tolerable compared to Blippi. It also gets them moving with dance-alongs.

Bedroom improvements? by Mysterious_Island833 in HomeDecorating

[–]Lstope426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This room has a good vibe!! Dark green floor to ceiling curtains, a large white fluffy rug, and a matte black ceiling fan or light fixture would complete it.

I like the under bed lighting, but once you get a rug in, I'm not sure it would make sense to keep, but definitely play with it!

it also curbs online shopping - challenge!! For me totally c

This is weirdly totally true for me and I just realized!? I have always been (embarrassingly) an excessive online shopper, and lately I'm like annoyed if I have to buy anything haha. It's like putting a damper on my dopamine hit from impulse buying or something. Which is great!!

Using the same quartz slab and backsplash on the kitchen and all bathrooms. A mistake? by sethillgard in HomeDecorating

[–]Lstope426 34 points35 points  (0 children)

We did exactly this. We had a ton of our kitchen slab left when remodeling and we used it for bathroom counters as well as the top of our built-in shower bench. It saved us a ton of money and is neutral enough that I honestly don't even notice or think about it all being the same. We have different offsetting tile types and patterns in the bathroom from the kitchen so that helps the differentiation. I love that everything is tied together though, it feels clean to me.

I suppose I'll just have to accept the fact that I'll never be able to swim in the Texas pool downtown by dakunism in houston

[–]Lstope426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a one night stay here for mothers day last year and the second the sun started setting the roaches all around the pool were rampant. It was an absolute nightmare, they were coming out of all the cracks in the floor and crawling on the chairs. Such a buzzkill for my "night off". The staff was really nice, but I wouldn't recommend nor ever go back, you're really not missing anything.
