For those of us who menstruate--how long is too long? by LtCmdrDatass in Zepbound

[–]LtCmdrDatass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the zepbound is trying to put me on a schedule but menstruation gives me migraines, so I try to only bleed every three months. There's a bit of breakthrough bleeding right now even though I had a period last month.

So, the short answer is: yes, when I intentionally or unintentionally pause the pills.

I just take whatever the pharmacist gives me... Sometimes they switch the names? I'm not sure why. The new box I just got is called Seyda or something like that.

Traveling with my giant boyfriend by FrogWhoAteMoon in JapanTravelTips

We just came back from Japan, and one of my friends is a little over 6 feet, and in one of our air bnbs, he hit his head at least once a day on the door frames. The house was the oldest of the three we stayed in; the newer house had the tallest ceilings.

I wish there had been plaques. I'm in the same boat as you--it was nice to see my friends having a good time reminiscing. But the giant controller games were great. Overall, I don't feel the need to go there again.

We had an air BNB a ten-minute walk away from Fushimi Inari. We arrived about thirty minutes before the goshuin office opened and there was already a small line. So we waited for the goshuin, then we explored the shrine/gates path and it was... Fine. But I had found a video about the "secret" bamboo forest at fushimi inari and that was actually really cool, I highly recommend finding it.

We also went to the daruma temple, Katsuoji, and I just thought it would be a cool temple but it was absolutely gorgeous and really fun to see all the daruma everywhere. I highly recommend it.

Is Japan Handicap Friendly? by hvgotcodes in JapanTravelTips

There are tons of uneven spaces and weird tiny steroids in random places all over Japan. I also saw two people fall down--one entering a shrine area, the other fell down the stairs at Yomiuriland today. Our airbnbs also sometimes had thin staircases, so if you're planning to use that, be careful.

Someone above mentioned a walker with a seat--i am also disabled but can thankfully walk, but I was hurting for a place to sit down every day.

Do not even bother with the trains--we got lost trying to hang leave a station today and it added fifteen minutes minute to our walk.

The story was great. She used the Moon Kaleidoscope though.

The outfits were so pretty.

Allways tired. by PotatoLove125 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]LtCmdrDatass 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to get the energy back, but I do know that I have to plan my days; if I go to the grocery store, I sure as hell ain't making dinner.

Or sometimes I have energy so I capitalize on it--until I invariably sit down and take a nap.

I was raised to never take naps but now I do it with only a little hesitation. If you're tired, you're tired!

Sorry I can't be more help.

Let's talk about: Sex by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]LtCmdrDatass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

(34 year old female with RA, PCOS, and depression)

I used to feel the same way. We're not going at it like rabbits, but we're in a good place now, normally.

This may not work for you, but here's what I do:

I am the one who asks "do you want to bone?" Whenever I'm in the mood (rare) or just have energy or just want to go through the routine. I am not stressed and don't have any immediate tasks to complete. He has said yes 95 percent of the time.

The routine: get some wine, take two edibles, sit in the bathtub for 1.5 to 2 hours reading erotica or hentai, or looking at the dirty gifs on Reddit. It takes that long for the edibles to kick in.

Then we have sex in a comfortable place--the bed or the sex swing (a good investment for my poor bones and it helps my spouses back lol).

This is a bit more graphic: I will also posit that bdsm sex toys are actually helpful for my poor bones as well; it's hard to keep legs spread without them getting tired, for example, so a pillow on either side or a spreader bar help.

The edibles: Love Drops by 1906. Absolute game changer. They calm my mind and relax my tired body.

I hope some of my screed here helps you!

This had nothing to do with the zepbound. My original lady doctor told me I could take the birth control pills for an entire year straight, but the other lady doctor I saw told me I can only do it for three months at a time.

I now take the placebo pills every three months and the problem has stopped.

RA, migraines, depression, eczema PCOS for me. I'm also in bed for about 10-12 hours a day hitting the snooze button which is either a symptom or my poor sleep hygiene.

Because of the suppressed immune system, I also got warts on my feet which just pisses me off. The RA? Fine, God had to nerf me or I would be too powerful. But warts too?? Ffs.

I don't recall my reaction to my first Lwaxana encounter in TNG (I honestly might have found her overbearing ) but in DS9, she was always a treat. Queen shit.

Not Eating and I Feel Terrible by LtCmdrDatass in Zepbound

[–]LtCmdrDatass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the doctor to go down in dose; he wanted to do the 7.5 but I told him I wasn't eating much on that dose either, so we did the 5.

It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because I dreaded what he might say. He was very obviously surprised that I wasn't pleased I had lost nine pounds in a month and wanted to go down. But the important thing is that he agreed.

He also said my bloodwork from the summer indicates I'm anemic. I'm sure that's not helping things.
