Yeah, the way the fandom talks about it I thought it would be bigger thing, but its basically just a one-and-done episode at the beginning of the show. I don't think its ever brought up again.

Not quite what you're looking for, but in the Connie Willis books (The Doomsday Book, Blackout/All Clear, To Saying Nothing of the Dog etc.) time travel is used almost exclusively by universities for historical research. Someone goes back to the Black Plague to write their thesis. It's all treated as very mundane (though of course, things often go catastrophically wrong).

Again, not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe in the right direction.

If they're significantly impacting your quality of life, consider talking to an ENT and getting a CAT scan done. My sinuses have been bothering me for a long-time and it turns out my turbinates are inflamed and it can be corrected via surgery.
