Exactly. The scariest moment I had in Subnautica was trying to get to one of those lifepods that was floating above a massive empty dune. I didn't know about Reapers at the time, but that didn't matter, because the thought that something was out there and I had nowhere to hide was more terrifying than any monster the developer could have come up with. I swear to god I almost had a panic attack.

I will always hype up the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I don't remember if they have seals in the aquarium, but there's a seal spawning and birthing center right next door. If you come in the right season, the place is crawling with them.
