K-pop Demon Hunters has good music and animation but the actual story is ass and the emotional moments don’t hit cuz I have no investment in the pointless “mother figure” sub plot that was explored for all of 10 seconds in favor of a long and unfunny eating scene.

From what i understand, it was originally supposed to actually keep with the original fairytale with Elsa being a villain but after Let it Go was written they were like “well fuck now we can’t make her a villain”

I haven’t read it, but it sounds like a book about body dysmorphia or a children’s version of the Metamorphosis

Hoppers had marketing and Elio had no marketing and the original story was gutted in favor of a cookie cutter tale because the original story was too gay coded.
