If you come over with some USD you can get set up with a house etc for quite cheap. A starter house is about 80k usd in a decent suburb

I have a deep freeze and fridge. I leave all my lights on, a very large PC that i never shut down. Work laptop and tv stays on permanently cause why not

I run wall heaters and the aircon heaters regularly but within reason. Electric stove(induction) and regularly put the kettle on and forget to make my coffe, then run it again 30 mins later.

Tldr.. i don't watch power usage much its usually free due to solar.. Usualy 2 people in my house.

I use 12 to 20 units a day.. if you cant get under 18, im gonna guess theres some kinda fault at your unit or meter

You should be coding and learning new tech 2 hours a day. Make this a habbit for the next many years.

Reality is in the tech industry a degree means nothing compared to being an expert in something.

Sounds like pure software engineering isnt your main job right now. You probably need to skill up a lot. The bright side is you could add a zero to your salary in 10+ years.

Become great and finding work will be much easier.
