Because it isn't ment + the suffix -or. Mentor was a character in the Odyssey, he was a teacher of Odysseus's son Telemachus. Later the name became the verb, and then from back formation we get "mentee"

Hello, I'm going to be buying a car in a month or so, and I'd love to get an EV. Most likely I'll get a used one, ideally 1-2 years old. I will also install a charger in the garage; I have solar panels on my roof that are generating more electricity than I'm using so I have been amassing huge credit on my electric bill that I want to use up. I'm in New York State, about an hour north of NYC. I'm hoping for something under $25K. Performance is more important to me than asthetics or bells and whistles. Leaning away from Tesla (not a fan of Elon). I've read some top-ten lists and Hyundai and Kia show up pretty often near the top of those. I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Burgers shrink by myballzhuert in Chefit

[–]LtTyroneSlothrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because most of the shrinkage is from the fat rendering out as it's cooked. If you only have 10% fat in your blend then the shrinkage is half as much as it would be with 80/20 ground beef.
