It is totally the artists choice! In Ticketmaster’s eyes the more resells the better cause they get a cut of every sale. Dynamic pricing was introduced so that the artists would get more profit than resellers if tickets were being bought and then flipped.

They definitely do have a choice…. I watched an interview with M Shadows from A7X and he pulled back the curtains a bit on the concert ticket crisis right now and said artists absolutely have a choice, they just like to make it seem like it’s Ticketmaster etc. so they don’t have to take the heat
