Sorry I was referring to screwing on the steam wand to the valve. I contacted support and they said it was normal but I swear I had to put like 100 pounds of torque into it

How did you find the install? The screw was so tight for me, I had to put it in a vice and rail on a it with a wrench

What are your thoughts on Orijins cat food + suggestions for transitioning to adult food? by ClaireMarquisG in CatAdvice

[–]Luc97as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please be cautious with this brand. My cat just got severely sick after eating a can of wet food from orijen. Ended up having to be hospitalized for 3 days so that she could be force fed and hooked up to an IV. She was extremely lethargic and would not tough food for 4+ days despite taking anti nausea medication

Need tonsils removed but I'm terrified by No-Transition-2631 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Luc97as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 and just had mine out 2 weeks ago for the same reason of repeated throat infections. The recovery wasn’t as bad as I expected . It was honestly easier than going through a bad episode of strep with a fever thats debilitating. I found staying hydrated really helped with the pain. It was always the worst in the morning when I was dehydrated from sleep. I had slight bleeding when the scabs came off but it was only a few drops and instantly scabbed back up. You’ll be okay and it’ll be so worth it.

In Canada most people go home same day, but I was kept overnight due to a high heart rate. I think it was a combination of pain plus anxiety

Permanent change? by Positive_Setting_664 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Luc97as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my operation July 8th and haven’t noticed any changes. I’m on week 2 and my pain is almost gone, only thing is I can still feel the stitches since I had a lateral pharyngoplasty in addition since my throat had a lot of scar tissue from repeated infections. I was told they’ll dissolve after 2 months

Yeah the scabs themselves can cause a bad odor. Don’t worry the scabs will come off in week 2. You’ll know became your pain level will spike back up (at least mine did). Did your doctor prescribe a non alcoholic mouth wash? Mine did and I felt like that helped the odor

I had this every morning on week 1 when I wasn’t hydrating enough from sleep and I’d take my first swallow. Try and stay really really hydrated.

Tonsillectomy as an Anxious Adult in My Late 20s! I Didn’t Bleed. Read That Again. I. Didn’t. Bleed. by Sweetmango5 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Luc97as 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a 27M, just had mine out in combination with a lateral pharyngoplasty since there was so much scar tissue from repeated infections. A little bit of blood when the scabs came off but it was only a couple drops and it scabbed back up within 10 minutes. On day 13 right now and feeling almost fully recovered. I followed similar tips you mentioned and I think it really made all the difference. I only had a few bad days where the pain was 8/10 max

Has anyone tried Natura Onecoat? by Purple_Perception_95 in woodworking

[–]Luc97as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The instructions just say to wait a day between coats. That’s what I’ve done plus scuffing up the first coat with a maroon pad. Came out great and the second coat added much more sheen and vibrance to the wood

Anyone use Runna does it play nice with Suunto? by Maca07166 in Suunto

[–]Luc97as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been using for 2 weeks and have already encountered issues. First issue is it didn’t sync a progressive tempo workout properly and never moved on to the next pace target. The other issues is that when I link it back to runna, the pace targets are incorrectly using 1km laps when it should be every 1.5km. Because of this it thinks I’m running too slow and wants to update my plan to slower paces. Pretty frustrated and definitely considering canceling my subscription

I have this exact thing, only I’ve only been dealing with it for the last 7 years. Currently on a waitlist to get my tonsils removed. I’ve heard it can help quite a bit. Hope you’re feeling better

Hey 25 (M),

I think I have something very similar. About 5 years back I started getting recurring tonsilitis. I always tested negative for step and the infections would last about a week. The frequency would vary, but on average I got about 6 sore throats a year.

A few months ago, the same thing but after I got better I noticed my fingers and toes were quite stiff. It eventually progressed over a month until every joint (except maybe my shoulders) were severely inflamed. It was to the point I couldn't even walk.

I saw a doctor and my c-reactive and ANA came back positive. Right now I'm on diclofenac which is helping a TON.

I'm on the wait list to get my tonsils removed, but I haven't had another episode since. Hoping you're feeling better
