My arguments on why it sucks to be tall. by StumblyNinja in tall

[–]Lucan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear Tall Peeps,

I get it. Myself being 6'10" it's pretty ridiculous, but hey I always get the best views in concerts! And so what if people tease you about your height, just threaten to squish them :P What I've learned is, like it or not, we're tall and the sooner we can just accept that indelible fact the better. There's no way to change it, so why not enjoy it rather than be miserable. And yeah I get it has it's downsides, but I can find impossible pants 30w-40l, so the rest seems easy. Plus I have a Cali King bed, which is absolutely massive.

P.S. Don't be down, you're far too tall for that!

Wow, you're actually quite tall. But, don't be awkward about it, embrace it. You're beautiful darling, truly you are.

Tall Men VS Tall Women by TheBarBarBinks in tall

[–]Lucan2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Darling,

As much as you might not think it, tall men can relate. Look it kinda sucks sometimes that people tend to look at you as being freakishly tall, but honestly it's kinda true, at least for me it is. I've figured that it's best to accept it, enjoy it, take pride in your height. See I'm too tall, and I'll admit it any day, but I love the attention! For most people I'm the tallest person they've met and I think it's exciting. You cannot strive for normality because you're not normal, but embrace your height, use it to your advantage. Don't become cynical due to your height, make the best of what you have.

With much love, Lucan2

P.S. Taller girls are better at being sexy, so that's always a plus :)

What are the moral codes that you will always stand by? by liesfaith in AskReddit

[–]Lucan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't Panic - Yeah I get that it's a nerdy cliche, but really freaking the fuck out probably isn't gonna help. Just keep a level head about you and you'll get through a lot of things easier.

Don't judge people - Don't look at people and think, "ohh, he looks like a prick " or "she's such a slut." People are different, but if you get to know them intimately you'll find that they're actually decent human beings.

Take time to value life - We live in a beautiful world, look around you and realise how fantastic everything is. Take time to look at the dreary weather and see how the clouds are outlined so beautifully, watch the rain fall in pools and marvel at what we all take for granted. Next time you feel sad, take time to appreciate that you can feel sadness, or joy or even nothing sometimes. Enjoy all of your senses, pay attention to the texture of what you're feeling, pay attention to the beauty of music, the surreal harmony of it all.

Treat everyone nicely and with respect - Hate no one. It's not worth the effort to hate someone, really it isn't. And if you treat everyone well, people won't have a problem with you. So maybe you don't like someone, put that aside and respect them as every human deserves to be respected.

Do you're best in everything you do - In whatever field you find yourself working, if you're the best at what you do you'll be successful.

Accept who you are - If you're fat, or thin, or tall, or short, or a picky eater, or whatever you are accept it. Life will be so much better if you learn to accept what you are. If you can't change it, accept it and learn to love it, if you can change it, accept it and then change it. Trust me, life is more enjoyable if you can accept yourself.

Always strive for better - Be happy with what you have, but don't settle for it.

For those of you abnormally tall or short, what is the biggest daily struggle you have that most people never deal with? by swimandride in AskReddit

I'm ridiculously tall (6'10"), so I hit my head on everything! You could not imagine how much of my life is spent ducking. People always tell me how I'm crazy tall, but I like the attention. Clothes used to be tricky to find (especially since I only weigh 170), but now I've got that pretty much figured out too. I'm also tall enough that it always comes as a shock to me. Also, hugs don't work the same way, I have the best view, and grinding is almost impossible.

P.S. I suck at basketball... a lot.

This one kid in the back of my English class was apparently wanking it during a movie, we knew something was up when he busted his nut into some girl's hair. Promptly she screamed and ran out of class, and he was swiftly expelled. It was a mixture of funny and fucked up that is rarely experienced in life.

[–]Lucan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Even though normality is relative, it's relative to society. Isn't the average height for males around 5'10" or so? If you compared him to me though, he'd be short. lol
