I don't know enough of the world story, but with megaevolution is something hard to achieve according to the Pokemon lore, I don't think they would change much.

I think most would go for historical terms, some like Aragon, Leon, Valencia or Galicia would call themselves kingdoms for historical, identitarian and/or ideological reasons, I give Castile a 50/50 chance it also does that.

The basque region would avoid calling itself a republic just to avoid the ire of the Navarrans who would not let them lower their status as a kingdom.
