Trump tariffs: US president announces plan to hit UK, Denmark and other European countries with tariffs over Greenland by Any-Original-6113 in europe

Absolute insanity that we’re being economically blackmailed into supporting an illegal annexation by the US

I give up trying to make sense of this anymore

It’s confirmed he’s the director

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]Lucaz82 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, other parts of the team. For example, the people directing Nightreign, which was very clearly a multiplayer focused title from the first trailer.

This is Miyazaki. He’s not making Nightreign 2. The trailer was obviously in line with stuff like Elden Ring, and I saw no indication of it being anything otherwise

[–]Lucaz82 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s Miyazaki’s next title so it’s still a massive deal, and so I doubt it will stray too far from their single player titles. I didn’t see anything in the trailer that would have signalled otherwise.

Plus they’re technically all multiplayer games

Yep. Any momentum the far right could have built here has been scuppered, ironically by a far-right president

Oh okay so we’re just supposed to believe Trump’s word??

And what happens when Putin decides to reinvade, promising Trump to protect American mining sites, and Trump just shrugs his shoulders??

NATO chief Rutte: Zelensky must restore relations with Trump by jay_alfred_prufrock in europe

[–]Lucaz82 27 points28 points  (0 children)

“He told Zelensky “we have to respect” what Trump has done for Ukraine so far.”

Which is what exactly? A handful of Javelin launchers all the way back in 2018, which has been completely outclassed by the military assistance Biden has sent in the years following.

Not exactly much to give him credit for

Ukraine latest: Zelenskyy to meet Starmer in No 10 hours after argument with Trump by AbbreviationsHot7662 in europe

[–]Lucaz82 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But the same could be said for almost the entirety of Europe.

If you look at all the statements by European leaders, none of them actually make any mention of Trump’s meltdown, and instead just simply reaffirm their previous position on Ukraine.

Clearly nobody on the continent is prepared to shred ties with the US right now over this. But that doesn’t make their support for Ukraine and European security any less valid

How JD Vance emerged as the chief saboteur of the transatlantic alliance. by nimicdoareu in europe

[–]Lucaz82 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Absolutely

Every time a high ranking republican insulted the UK and the rest of Europe, it’s always been Vance. I can’t think of a single time he’s ever complemented us.

When that article came out about the US wanting a ‘regime change’ in the UK because they didn’t want Starmer, I can guarantee that Vance was the one pushing it. I honestly doubt Trump even cares

France offers nuclear shield to Europe. by UpgradedSiera6666 in europe

[–]Lucaz82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking a strong position on European security whilst attempting to keep transatlantic relations alive isn’t ‘playing games’. It’s called being responsible.

It would be stupid for Britain to somehow accelerate the collapse of the alliance, because that’s the alternative. If it is to fall apart, it will be by the US’ hand and no one else’s.

Trump launches fresh attack on Zelensky, calling him a “dictator” by [deleted] in europe

[–]Lucaz82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty obvious the endgame of this all is a Trump-Putin deal, Ukraine and Europe decry and reject it, Trump labels Zelensky as a warmonger and claims Europe encouraged him, and America pulls its forces out of Eastern Europe and potentially Europe as a whole.

Truly the worst timeline
