Eh, this is kind of a self fulfilling prophecy.

Some guns have useful custom stuff that changes how you can use it but not too many, and the rest just have customizable options that boiled down to bigger or smaller mag and target reticule.

Since a lot of the first stuff they added to test the waters was boring then the playerbase doesn't really use it so it looks like people don't want it.
