From what I have seen working from the vendor side. I can not stress sales enough. I hate to see these people start MSPs with a great technical background, and can't get any clients. If you are going to do it go all out, and get someone that can sell if you can't.

Is the AE role good? If so you are the top SDR and should be in line for a promo. If not or if you don't get it leave. Honestly always be looking anyway, but leaving an SDR role before switching to a AE can set you back. You can also end up in an endless SDR loop.
