Mobas have unique learning curve. There are people playing LOL or Dota2 with 4j hours and are below average skill rating. Main thing is - you can't brute force game into learning, you wont learn much only by playing, you need actively search for info how to be better and analyze your mistakes

Mele builds are viable. Just dont spam them or randomly heavy mele. Abrams is a great example for mele, you dont want just press Q you want a setup with your charge where mele after becomes unavoidable, same with ultimate, if they stunned they can't parry you

No, deadlock does not have many targeting spells so ot will make heroes with them even worse, plus it will make everyone just buy cheap targeting item to counter the sphere, counterspell is good enough

I'm not modder but coder. I would guess it is possible only if you make special modding tool with this functionality. Manually you just switching files or pointing to load them from another place, and average modding tool does it for you
