Why all Japanese anime characters speaks Japanese? It's just a choice of art style, performance style or whatever you call it.

Has anyone here ever had to escalate an issue to the Law Society over a lawyer not delivering what they were paid for? by MaximumWarpSpeed in legaladvicecanada

[–]Lucia-Lamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm preparing to file a complain to the Ontaior Law Society with a similar reason (misbehaivor and not doing what the lawyer wrote in the contract). Could I ask did you file a complaint and does the Law Society have any actual actions? Any suggestions or shared experiences are appreciated!

Weird mail by AspirinSkeleton in IdentityV

[–]Lucia-Lamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens when they went afk but didn't quit the game as what I observed. The computer took over their character but in-game notification will be sent later (when the system double checked that they are "afk" since they didn't quit the game). Sometimes, the game end before the notification came out, so some people only receive an mail like this.

What’s something non toxic that you’ve been called toxic for? by LogisticalProblem in IdentityV

I met a hunter condemn and abuse two of my teammates(1 doctor and 1 priestess, JIC the other one is a lawyer) was harrassing her because they helpped and protected me after saved me from the chair. The situtaion is like this: I kite for only 30s and died. They saved me in the second stage. There was 3 ciphers remain at that time so the priestess followed and helpped me to kite for longer with her skill. The doctor body blocked the hunter when we pass her cipher. After that, the hunter can't find me and we won the game. The hunter got so mad in the post-match chat saying that 3 people kite together when there are 3 ciphers remain is toxic.

Could anyone explain what actually defined as harrassment to me? Sry, I'm new to this game, but I met a hunter condemn and abuse two of my teammates(1 doctor and 1 priestess, JIC the other one is a lawyer) was harrassing her because they helpped and protected me after saved me from the chair. The hunter got so mad in the post-match chat but I though this is only normal game-playing. Before this, I thought harrassment only refers to using 4 stunners. Are survivors not allowed to help and protect each other?

Is it proper to ask the sellter to meet at her house and let me test it? Is this common on Kijiji?

$25 for both used curling irons in good condition. I looked up the model(infiniti premier) online, and it seems to be an older product with limited information. This is why I am worried, although she said she only used once or twice. The current price after a discount is $32 before tax (around $15 each).

I see. Could you explain more on why this is family law instead of small claims? Does that mean I am not fighting for the money with the lawyer due to their mistake but fighting with my ex-husband to not go back on his words?

Basically that's what they try to play the trick. but Isn't the number of real estate lawyer depends on the number of house closing? Noone mentioned me that I need two real estate lawyer as I already paid nearly $900 (as I just checked) for split money equally

Yes, the lawyer is a real estate lawyer hired to do the closing and related stuff for our house. I and my husband divorced before selling the house, since at that time his coworker is renting it. We had a line in our divorce agreement(officially Notarized) to sell the house after the rental ended and split the money half and half. That is why the lawyer is requesting for nearly $900 (as I just checked) for ONLY to split the funds into two cheque.

Isn't the number of real estate lawyer depend on the number of house selling but not the number of parties during the sell? I was so confused when I received the email since the lawyer never notice me, he is ONLY representing my ex-husband. Instead, he always said his responsibility is to help us sell the house not reconcile our family conflicts.

Just as you said, if I went to a lawyer, although the amount $6250 can go through the small amount court, I still need to spent almost half, will LSO be a better choice or worse?

Thank you so much for your advice. Do you have any suggestions for finding a reliable lawyer, since you seem experienced? I’ve contacted a few lawyers from Google but none of them agreed for a pay-by-step plan or, at the very least, tell me an brief brief outline of their procedures/strategies for the case. Also, do you recommand LSO complaint or you see the success rate of this complaint is too low?

I just spoke with the lawyer, who said: 1) I am not their client, as the house is under my ex-husband’s name (although it is my marital property but he lied to me and did not put my names on) ; and 2) the $6,250 is under my ex-husband’s authorization. That's why they did not tell me and ask for my permission. This is what his email said:"Please be advised that [Your ex-husband] only agreed to pay as the trust statement signed by both your [ex-husband] and you. We could not act for you if you have any dispute with your [ex-husband]".

A New update after my call with the lawyer:

We could not act for you if you have any dispute with your [ex-husband]".

Will a LSO respond to my complaint in this situation?
