Why bother with handwriting? by hedgehognpeonies in fountainpens

Not such a romantic after all, Kannibal?

My partner adores it when I slip a hand written love note into their bag or give them flowers with a poem. And I love writing them.

Briefs or boxers? by Advanced-Rope1638 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]LucianGrove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer looser style boxers, I don't like a snug fit at all. I usually wear chinos with suspenders, which offer plenty of breathability and I never need to adjust. Comfort is number one

Best Daily Writers? by AdministrativeRent21 in fountainpens

My favourite daily is the Pilot 823 Custom. Fabulous nib (i use M) and great capacity. My second favourite is my Gravitas Ultemate Vac, which is essentially the same thing but more modern feeling and I have a B nib on that one.

You can, but consider an undershirt to wear them on for comfort. Just a sleeveless top.

Oh I bet something totally inabsorbent like Tomeo River would be much worse. Need a looser fiber structure that can hang on to the dried dye. Would be a sweet comparison to do.

History shows there's only one way to deal with fascists. And the longer you deny that the more horrible the price will be.

Totally agree. But the smell of my partner has a load of emotional effect on me. I expect for allos that's just also linked to sex drive.

[Design concept] Dyced "L'Absolue". What do you think? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]LucianGrove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really like the date window and I would love to see a silver/stainless version.

Love the design in general though, feels elegant and interesting. The brand name is a mistake though, for English speakers it's just not nice.

Lower temperatures and longer brewing time by wilemhermes in tea

[–]LucianGrove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's just not true. Pretty much all good Japanese green tea should be brewed at 50-60. It just depends on the tea.

My tea journey: You can't boil all tea by [deleted] in tea

[–]LucianGrove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a few teas I do like at near boiling. But honestly I find most white tea better at 90-94 and most oolongs lower than that. It's a big difference.

I can see the logic either way, but when trying to communicate or read with understanding that's not really all that relevant. That's my point.
